Traditional Southwest style made of adobe with brick on sand floors and viga/latilla ceilings. In the warmer months there is a full courtyard which becomes an additional room. Good patio furniture and lots of art.
The room is cozy (that doesn't mean tiny) and has an empty closet.
You have your own entrance to your room.
Interaction with guests
We love to socialize if that is your preference. If you have come to do photography or for a special astronomy session, then we should have some fun together!
Other things to note
This is the high desert and it does get cold (dry air) in the winter. Temperatures at night can approach freezing. We even get dusted with snow sometimes. The good news is that it is shirt sleeve weather by 10:00am.
We live on the other side of the house. Rachell has her own art studio accessible from the courtyard. Michael's office/telescope control room is on this side as well as our bedroom and bath.
I am at NASA supported astronomer and my fiance is a fine artist. We are air BNBers ourselves so we are no stranger to the sensitivities of people who invite other people to "share our space" and do so respectfully.
Since I am an astronomer I would love to give you a tour of the dark heavens of S. Arizona. I am also a photographer. Not only that, this is the most beautiful of places with lots of wildlife, a truly panoramic view, and a very comfortable home.
Bird lovers come here and to the nearby (20 minutes drive) Patagonia, AZ also known as the Mountain Kingdom. This is a flyway for many migratory birds especially in the spring and the fall.
Nogales, on the border with Mexico, is also 20 minutes away. Walk across the border to another country!
