The lodge is an off-the-beaten-track retreat, named after the spectacular views over the rice fields of Burnay, and is accessible by a short 5 minute walk through rice terraces from the end of the road, where different footpaths begin to villages without road access.

The space

With two master bedrooms with separate bathrooms, as well as a third room with two bunk beds, the lodge offers an intimate retreat. In the other wing of the house resides the host and her family. Diane will prepare your breakfast and service your rooms daily. A lunch and dinner menu is available and is prepared by an experienced cook from the neighborhood. The kitchen is not suitable for self service but hot water and tea or coffee are always available.

Guest access

The main room of the house has a confortable sitting area, a breakfast table as well as large dining table. The adjacent study has a writing desk and a large bookshelf with mixed reading. Wifi is available.

Other things to note

The guesthouse of the Ifugao Community Support Trust was built from 2000 onwards by Kayes Gorter (deceased 2014) who left his property in trust for the benefit of the people of Ifugao, especially children in need and the adults caring for them. All profits from the lodge go towards education and income generation projects.

"What do you do when you reach paradise? Make it your home!" That's just what Kayes Gorter did when he built this retreat over looking Banghalan Situ at the foot of Mt Atugu. Now his son Rent continues the dream. The tree top lodge, reminds me of Bali's famous mountain views of Ubud without the crowds. A fan room, clean bath with hot water, delicious dishes from Lolita's kitchen and the outstanding view will make it hard for you to leave no matter how long you stay. Requires a short walk to get there.
