The location of this magnificent house is outstanding. On a very quiet road, right in front of the river and a 5 minute drive to gorgeous Shepherdstown, one can easily explore the tristate area. The house itself offers ample room for 4 people and it is very well-equipped. Given the remote location, internet service is limited, but that's probably a good thing. The scenery and peaceful setting, plus the great restaurants in Shepherdstown are much better assets than internet or TV service. Highly recommended, I would go back in a minute.

This was a great Airbnb experience. Yocencia communicated very quickly on our last minute booking and made it easy to get in for the night. The house is cozy and offers plenty of space to hangout and rest after a long day. I would stay here again if I'm in the area.

We stayed at the Stonehouse for five nights - and we could not have enjoyed it more. The house itself is absolutely beautiful, with a large and roomy kitchen+dining and a beautiful view of the river - like a picture postcard - from the window. The living room is cosy and spacious, and decked with modern facilities (like charging pods and Alexa!) Upstairs, there is another large area outside the bedroom with a quaint little writing desk, some board games and books and a nice big sofa-bed that is very comfy. And the bedroom is really comfortable too, with a deck outside where the view of the river and the trees in the morning makes it all feel beautiful. The bathrooms are well-stocked with soaps and lotions and towels, and plenty of additional linen / towels in the closets. Our time in the Stone House was especially wonderful because it was the first place we stayed in together as a married couple! And the host's hospitality and flexibility are incredible - we highly recommend staying here if you want a slice of West Virginian heaven.
