Colorful corner is a private room tucked away in the back of my house in a quiet area of Eureka . The room has a private entrance off the backyard, with an attached full bath. Since I work full time, I offer keyless entry for ease of convenience. Guests can enjoy the attached deck off the room and relax in a colorful, relaxing yard. The room is a burst of color to contrast with the gray days in Humboldt. The room is a 15 minute walk to the zoo, hiking trails, hospitals, shopping and restaurants.

The space

The guest room, although small, is perfect for one person and cozy for two. I wanted my space to be unique, fun, and express my personality. I love color and didn't want to offer the typical white walls. It's a bright combo of colors that will hopefully make you smile. I'm in a great location in Eureka and can serve as a central hub or a short stop for a long distance traveler. I provide coffee, bottled water, granola bars and fresh fruit to get your day started.

Guest access

The guest room has it's own private entrance as well as a full size bed, tv, wifi, mini frig, microwave and keurig. I also provide towels, blow dryer, iron, shampoo and body wash. There's a deck directly off the room, although use of the entire deck is welcomed. I want most that your stay is comfortable and relaxing.

Interaction with guests

I work full time but am always available by text, phone call or email.

Pat is such a great host! She was very hospitable and went out of her way to explain how everything worked in the Airbnb. The Airbnb itself was absolutely gorgeous, very colorful and warm. Amenities were provided which made our last minute stay here super convenient and very enjoyable. Hope to come back someday!

This is a very cozy place. So many special touches that Patricia has done. Wish we could have stayed longer. The decor is so cheerful. So nice to come back to after a day out.

My husband and I stayed for 1 night while on a coastal road trip. Pat's room was just what we needed for some R&R. She welcomed us at the door and had cookies set out for us. The little touches let you know show she cares! She is a wealth of information.

Pat greeted us as we drove up--very impressive. The small unit is nicely decorated and has all the amenities needed for a short stay. There is a double bed--not a queen--which was fine for us. The cookies, granola bars, etc. were much appreciated as were the restaurant suggestions. We ended up at a place called Cafe Nooner on Opera Alley (there's another one but this one is open for dinner.) We enjoyed their Creole kabobs. Thanks to Pat for all of the care she put into her airbnb!

Patricia provides a very warm and inviting environment for her guests and is a wonderful host. The room was very comfortable with lots of attention given to detail. There is even a Keurig coffee machine in the room with a great selection of coffee, which I thoroughly enjoyed. Loved the color scheme and found it to be very uplifting. The location is great in a nice quiet neighborhood and not too far from one of my favorite places to visit, The Sequoia Park Zoo. However, I found myself just wanting to spend time at the Airbnb sitting out on the deck in Patricia's beautiful backyard. I would definitely stay here again. Thank you Patricia.

We loved our stay at Patricia's. What the place lacks in size, it more than makes up for in substance. It is colorful, bright, and cozy - and clean! Patricia has also provided every amenity you can think of needing, including some delicious cookies to welcome us. The location is also right around the corner from all of the big brand stores you may need. Patricia was an amazingly nice woman and we had some great chats. Thanks again!

I'm a transplant from Southern California, and have lived in Humboldt County for 26 years. I'm a sales rep for a liquor distributor and have a territory on the north coast. I love Humboldt County, cats, travel, hiking, gardening, music, being outdoors and keeping active.

I learned of airbnb on an episode of 60 minutes about a year ago. I knew I had the right setup for it and would enjoy meeting the various people who travel to the area. I'm very friendly and easy going, but realize that each guest has his own personality and needs. I want each guest to have a memorable and enjoyable visit.

I haven't done much traveling, but definitely have the travel bug gene!

I strongly believe that a positive attitude influences your success in life. My motto is, life is definitely what you make it!
