The studio apartment, whilst under the main roof, is entirely private and independent. It has its own entrance, path from the street and a gated courtyard. It is in a very quiet location with easy access to the Frank Smith park and wetlands through the owner's back garden. More walking and cycling tracks can be found in Belair National Park (4 km away). There are cafes, restaurants, supermarkets and 24 hr service stations in Blackwood (2 km) and a pub, bakery and take-aways in Coromandel Valley.

Response from John:
Matt, the information I gave you re access was accurate. If your parents had come down the gravel path from the street as I suggested then there was only one step to negotiate and there is a sensor light there. It was their choice to access it via the driveway and steps. Re the bed we usually have positive feedback - I think it's probably a matter of personal preference regarding firmness of the mattress.
