Lovely and cosy and well thought out with everything you could possibly need. Well insulated with a lovely garden outlook. Lynne was a lovely host ( I didn't meet John this time) and my husband and I would definitely consider staying again.

John's place was as described. Small, but neat and tidy and very easy to heat on a cold and wet and windy night! Very cosy and equipped with cooking utensils and TV and DVD so we didn't have to leave the place again in the terrible weather. We had a great time exploring the little villages and Belair Park and were quite close to Adelaide CBD too.

Sorry Irima. There's usually shower gel in there. I must have forgotten to check that before you came.

This is a delightful place to stay. Hosts John and Lynne were friendly but respectful of privacy. The apartment was beautifully presented and with some lovely artistic touches. Even in a cool Adelaide winter we were warm and comfortable, and the setting amongst the trees on a quiet street was peaceful, yet Blackwood - just a five minute drive away - had everything we wanted. We took advantage of the path through the back garden and out into the park below, and enjoyed waking up to sun streaming in and the sounds of the birds (and noted that magpies were calling in the middle of the night!) If you are on the generously proportioned size you might find the bathroom a bit squeezy. We highly recommend this place.

We enjoyed the separate access, homely and comforatable feel, the windows over looking the garden from the bed and the separate outside courtyard. It was very clean.

Thanks for the private feedback Peter. I'll look into those issues. Cheers, John

John's place is great and exactly as described. The heater and electric blanket were very welcome for the cold winter nights! We had a car and found it easy to get around and it is well located for exploring both the city centre and hills area beyond (might be different if you're relying on public transport although I did see bus stops and trains nearby). I wish we had more time just to take walks in the local area and visit Belair National Park - it's a really beautiful and leafy neighbourhood and I enjoyed hearing the birds in the morning. The only negative was that the shower was a little temperamental and even following the instructions, the water would always go cold on me after about a minute. John and Lynne were lovely people and I would love to stay again in the future at Cottonstones.
