A great situation right on the coast. Perfect for a few days break.

Lovely studio right next to the sea, very spacious, microwave and hob included. Plenty of people left their bits and bobs too so check the pantry before buying things to cook with. Only downside is you need a car on Islay!

We spend really nice time on islay and specially at the artiste studio. Cathy is a really nice person and her place is really cosy.

the studio is in beautiful port charlotte, the prettiest village on the island, with a great view from the breakfast table out to sea. the local hotel and bistro both do superb food. it feels like an artist stdio with cosy bedrooms and a neat kitchen - a great place to stay whils…

A lovely cottage, simply yet characterfully furnished, in beautiful surroundings. The bedrooms, upstairs, are very cosy! Cathy was very supportive and flexible, and provided us with a great deal of useful local information.

We enjoyed a lovely stay. Cathy is the perfect host. The house is ideally located, with stunning views over the sea. Ideal location also for exploring the Island and distilleries. Will go back to stay here I the future.

I am on the older side of 70! I enjoy travel, and speak some German and some Italian and have quite good French. I have been coming to Islay since I was a child and can give people good tips about where to walk or visit. I love meeting new people!
