All our apartments offer a chic, comfortable and contemporary interior and are fully equipped with everything you could need including:

Separate utility area in each apartment fully equipped with washer/dryer and ironing facilities.

Sofa bed with sprung mattress to cater for additional guests or large families.

Spacious open plan living areas with private balconies and sea views with patio furniture.

Sony media equipment throughout including flat screen televisions in every bedroom with Freeview and living areas with 40" televisions and DVD/Blu-Ray Player, Surround Sound and Ipod Playing facility.

The spectacular views extend from Portland Bill Lighthouse at Weymouth all the way along the Jurassic Coastline through Sidmouth, Dawlish, Teignmouth, Shaldon and around to Torbay. The rear views extend up the Teign Estuary all the way to Dartmoor.

Q. How do I book or make an enquiry?

A. Please visit our website to book through our online booking system. Alternatively please send an email or call the office on (PHONE NUMBER HIDDEN).

Q. Do you provide basic things like washing up liquid and tea towels?

A. We provide basics to get you started. These include: tea towel, disposable dish cloth, washing Up Liquid, 2 dishwasher tablets, spare dustbin bags, a small complimentary pack of shampoo, conditioner, bubble bath and a small bar of soap, a selection of instant coffee, tea, squash and sugar sachets, a pint of semi skimmed milk and one toilet roll in each bathrooms/cloakroom.

Q. Do you provide linen & towels, can I hire a cot and highchair?

A. Linen and towels are provided and the beds will be made up for you on arrival. Cots and highchairs are provided free of charge but will need to be requested upon booking.

Q. Is there a coffee machine?

A. There is a Krups Dulce Gusto Coffee Machine in each apartment but we do not provide the coffee pods. If you wish to purchase some you will need Dulce Gusto Pods which come in a variety of flavours from all the major supermarkets.

Q. When will I receive my arrival information?

A. You will receive your arrival information, directions, entrance codes and parking instructions via email around two weeks before your arrival.

Q. Where do I park my car?

A. At Riviera Apartments we have four private parking spaces. Please note that Penthouse Four does not have a private parking space and for guests staying 7 nights or more a permit will be provided. Up to date instructions on where the permit can be used will be provided with the permit. For guests staying less than 7 nights parking charges will be reimbursed. If using the private parking, please be conscious of the comfort of other guests and park within the lines.

Q. If I am staying in Penthouse Four for less than 7 nights where do I get my parking charges reimbursed?

A. Take your tickets to The Beachcomber Café located on the seafront and they will reimburse your parking charges for you. Alternatively use the ring and pay by card service at the individual car parks. You can then forward the emailed receipt to us. This can be done on a daily basis or at the end of your holiday. Parking charges cannot be reimbursed without a ticket/email.

Q. If I bring two cars where can I park the other one?

A. There is ample public parking around Teignmouth where customers can park a second vehicle and we can provide a map for you. The parking costs of a second vehicle are not covered by Riviera Apartments.

Q. If I arrive early can I use the car park?

A. If there are any spaces after 10.30am then you are very welcome to park your car in the car park. If there aren’t any spaces it simply means that the departing guests are staying on for breakfast or have decided to spend the morning/day in Teignmouth (this can happen when the weather is particularly good). We ask departing guests to vacate the car park by 3pm though ready for the new arrivals.

Q. Are there any games or books available for children?

A. In the main entrance downstairs there are a number of buckets, spades, crab lines, nets and body boards available for use (please rinse them out in the sea before you return to the building!). There are also some umbrellas available for guest use. Upstairs at the end of the communal corridor in the other fire exit (the opposite end of the building to the lift) there are a number of games and puzzles which please help yourself to. There are also adult books which guests swap when they are finished with their own etc so please help yourself!

Q. What should I do if I need urgent/medical/dental assistance?

A. There is a detailed Guest Manual which will give you all the information you need.

Q. Can I request a grocery delivery for my arrival day?

A. Yes. We have three major supermarkets nearby (Asda, Sainsburys and Tesco). Please ensure you will be in your accommodation to receive it. The address to use is: Riviera Apartments, Den Crescent, Teignmouth, Devon TQ14 8BD – please do not send correspondence to this address. Please note that for Tesco orders you will need to use the following address: The Roof, Den Crescent, TQ14 8BG

Q. Can I unload outside the apartments?

A. Yes, there is parking outside the apartments which is one hour time limit during the day.

Q. Where do I access my key?

A. We have a keypad entry system for new arrivals, the codes are changed every week and the details will be sent to you with your arrival information.

Q. What time can I arrive?

A. Arrival can be anytime from 3pm – please note that the front door code is changed every Saturday and rarely before 3pm.

Q. Can I arrive in the middle of the night?

A. Yes.

Q. What time do I have to depart?

A. Departure time is 10am to allow cleaning to commence.

Q. Is there a daily cleaning service?

A. No. The apartments are self-catering and are not serviced apartments.

Q. I would like to have my apartment cleaned during my stay, can this be arranged?

A. If you would like your apartment cleaned during your stay then please contact the office before your arrival. The cost is £10 per hour and will include a general clean and tidy (including kitchen area), vacuuming, mopping etc. This is an extra service and as such is an arrangement made between the guest and the cleaner, therefore any monies should be paid directly to the cleaner after each visit. Please note that Riviera Apartments are self-catering and we cannot guarantee that a cleaner will be available.

Q. Do I need to clean the apartment upon departure?

A. There is no need to clean the apartment on your departure but we do ask guests to leave it in a tidy condition. We respectfully request that all towels are placed in either the shower tray or the bath and that guests do not leave dirty dishes for the cleaners to wash.

Q. If I am staying for longer than a week will I get new linen?

A. We will change your linen and towels for you each week, the day will be advised with your arrival information.

Q. If we have not previously requested it but decide upon arrival that we would like to use the sofa bed where can we get the extra linen?

A. We will always endeavour to assist guests who decide they would like the use of the sofa bed after their arrival but we cannot guarantee that this can be achieved on the same day.

Q. Do you provide towels?

A. We provide one bath towel, one hand towel and one beach towel per person.

Q. What is the postcode for my SatNav?

A. The postcode is TQ14 8BD. Please note that some SatNav systems tend to take people a couple of hundred yards down the road so when entering Teignmouth it is preferable to follow the written directions supplied with your arrival email.

Q. Is there WIFI access at the apartments?

A. Yes. The password will be in your apartment upon arrival.

Q. Can I use a barbeque on the balconies?

A. No. Our insurers do not allow us to permit the use of barbeques on the balcony.

Q. Is the beach sand or pebbles?

A. Teignmouth main beach and back beach are both sandy. When the tide goes out there are some great rockpools to be found at Shaldon just over the Estuary. Shaldon is a five minute journey via the passenger ferry which goes from Teignmouth back beach.

Q. Do you have a lift?

A. We have a lift for exclusive use of Riviera Apartments. Guests should be aware upon booking that we cannot be held responsible for any failure or interruption of services such as electricity which affect the operation of the lift. If the lift were to fail for whatever reason we will endeavour to rectify the problem and/or call out engineers within a reasonable period. We have two fire exits which service the building and details can be found on our Access Statement on our website.

Q. Will I be charged extra for electricity?

A. Everything is included. There are no hidden charges.

Q. Can I bring my pet?

A. Unfortunately due to the nature of the Penthouses we cannot accommodate pets.

Q. Where is the nearest convenience store?

A. There is a Coop One Stop store approximately 200 yards from the building (turn right from the main entrance and right again, it is directly in front of you). Waitrose is within walking distance 5 minutes up the hill.
