We loved staying at The Button Box. And so pleased as Pete and Rebekah provided home comforts with bread and preserves. We were told Golcar gets the best of all weather's and the rain didn't disappoint but in the box we didn't even know the difference. We're avid on music and made the most of the Bluetooth speaker as well as having a view of a mini garden as we live on the third floor of a flat (fantasising about bbq's there in the summer). All in all we thought The Button Box provided us with all we needed for a great stay and when we wanted to get some food (to cook breakfast in the morning) the Co-op was only a 10min walk away and has a great view from the top of the hill. Restaurants and cafés are in abundance in Slaithwaite which isn't a far off drive, we had stopped there on the way in at The Homemade Bakery.

Absolutely exceeded expectations! Lovely cosy space, fresh homemade bread as well as juice and coffee made it feel very homely. The pizza shop in walking distance made as fantastic baked bean pizza. Extremely lovely couple who made us feel at home from arrival. Would definitely stay again and recommend to any couples fancying a cosy night away as it was the perfect place to celebrate our first anniversary :)

A delightful little house that served it's purpose so we were able to catch up with friends in Yorkshire. Walkers need to be very fit as roads + walkways are very steep. Suggest driving to Bolster Moore + walking on the tops to an extremely good Farm shop + café.

Button Box is an ideal property to use as a base for visiting Yorkshire. It is close to shops, bus stops, pubs and eateries. The nearby town of Slathwaite has a lovely buzz to it. The bungalow itself has its own parking space and has all the necessary equipment to make your stay perfect. Pete and Rebekah are very helpful in ensuring things run smoothly.

About Rebekah And Pete

We have been married for 6 years and have enjoyed living in the Colne Valley for the majority of this time. Rebekah is a British Sign Language Interpreter who specialises in signed theatre and outside of her work she is a keen knitter, crocheter and sewer who absolutely loves Buttons, hence the name! Pete is a music teacher and teaches in a Special Needs School, and does a small amount of private tuition from home. Together they run a local community brass and and would like to think they are very friendly, approachable and helpful with anything you may need. When not at home, they can be found chilling out in their Romini caravan, named 'Bluebell'.
