Great location
92% of recent guests gave the location a 5-star rating.
We have converted a 18th century old, stone coach house into our home and offer guests a double room ensuite (+one single if required). Our place is tucked away in a wooded valley on the coast, just 40 mins from Cork city and airport and 20 mins from Kinsale. Sara is a ceramic artist and Gidi is a cook.
There are some beautiful walks to be had with splendid cliffs, private cove and mature woodland, dotted with ruins, telling of times gone by.

The space
We spent about 12 years living in the loft overhead while converting the ground floor from cattle sheds to living space. The land at the back originally retained the building, almost to the roof. We excavated and gained the space which now houses our ensuite guest room, sunroom and south facing deck.
Sleeping arrangements are flexible in the guest room as we can turn the double bed into two singles and offer 3 single beds, if required.

Location

Nohoval, County Cork, Ireland

We live over a mile from the main road, down a long lane and avenue therefore offering a great sense of tranquility as well as privacy. Our nearest villages are Nohoval and Minane Bridge, which both have a shop, church and pub and are about 3 miles away.
There are two pub/restaurants locally, one in Nohoval called The Finder's Inn and another near Minane Bridge called The Overdraught.
The Oysterhaven Centre offers all sorts of water sports activities and courses, just 5 miles away.
Rocky Bay is a family friendly sandy beach on our doorstep.
Kinsale is 8 miles and has plenty to offer in terms of restaurants, cultural experiences and outdoor activities.

I am a ceramic artist, with a working background in graphic design. I have lived and worked in the UK and Australia and I have travelled extensively. Ireland, where I was born, has been my home for the last 28 years along with Gidi, my partner and our two kids. We spent 12 of those years converting an old stone building into our home, in the yard of the family farm. We love where we live and happy to share our stories and our beautiful coastal corner with our guests.

Gidi is a cook ((URL HIDDEN) and with a day's notice, we can offer a hearty homecooked evening meal if desired. We enjoy sharing good food and conversation with visitors. Special dietary requirements catered for, (please advise) and a homemade breakfast is included.
Due to COVID guests will be served breakfast in the guest room or on the deck outside the room, if weather permits.
We have large dogs... 2 old retrievers and 2 young German/Belgian shepherd cross. They are all friendly but be warned, the younger ones are boisterous and get highly excited to meet new people...
