A south facing, sunny room with spectacular views across the valley. Comfortable double with exclusive use of bathroom (there are two). 10 minutes walk into Hebden Bridge town centre and the famous Trades Club.

The space

Its an unusual quirky house - an 'underdwelling' with allotments below, so very quiet. On a sunny day, guests are welcome to sit outside to enjoy the valley view.

Guest access

The living area is open plan. You're welcome to use the kitchen for preparing snacks and helping yourself to hot drinks. I'll either prepare or make available ingredients for a light breakfast - happy to get in stuff you like if you let me know in advance.

Interaction with guests

I work in Leeds 3 days a week, getting back about 7 - midweek there will be arrangements for guests to let themselves in.

Other things to note

The house is reached via steps and there is not easy vehicle access. Parking is on the road above. Unfortunately for these reasons, it is not suitable for anyone with mobility issues.

This place is lovely. Beautiful views, close to town. Beware of the path down to town, not for the infirm! So many good walks around too. The house is really nice, and the room comfortable. I'd definitely stay again.

Communication with Tessa beforehand was very good and information provided on arrival was good too. Tessa was absent during our stay but we felt welcome and very much at home. Great views from the bedroom, comfortable bed and nice to have our own bathroom. Easy to walk into town too if you don't mind lots of steps! A great stay.

A great stay in the lovely Hebeen Bridge. Great communication before so even arrived. Tessa provided me with directions and also made sure any dietry needs for breakfast were catered for. Breakfast included fruit from the allotment opposite her house - what a treat! Lovely house and space. Thanks for having me stay Tessa. See you again soon!

Lovely homely, relaxed feel to the house. Great views and good access to the town and walks around Hebden. Probably not suitable for people who can't tackle steep steps and hills but we loved it and hope to visit again.

Tessa is lovely and her house is very nice. The cats were friendly, check-in was very easy (even though Tessa was out), and breakfast was delicious. The bed is very soft and the house warm, though the staircase it quite steep! I'd be happy to stay again, despite the big hill. :)
