Our 140 year cottage sits quietly in a 30 acre secluded and private valley. Surrounded by cherry orchards, vineyards and our olive grove the location is surprisingly close to the Adelaide CBD, Adelaide Hills boutique wineries and the bustling town of Stirling. A 30 minute (approx) drive via the freeway from Uraidla will take you directly to the heart of Adelaide. The best of old and new makes this little cottage a peaceful and charismatic retreat for friends and family.

The space

Originally built with just four wattle and daub rooms the cottage has been sympathetically updated and now offers an open plan kitchen, dining / living with heating and cooling and two lovely spacious bathrooms. The original kitchen - now a little lounge room - has an open fireplace perfect for cosy winter retreats.
There is also an outdoor fire pit ( fire restrictions permitting ) and firewood is provided.

If you’re looking for a quiet getaway in the picturesque Adelaide Hills I highly recommend you visiting Uraidla and the Farm House. The driveway to the house is long and unsealed but the pay off is so worth it. The house and surrounding areas are totally stunning. I’d love to stay again! Ros was excellent to deal with from start to end.

Such a stunning spot - cottage has such heart and character. Perfect location, generous sat up and views beyond expectation. Wedding prep spot to perfection.

The setting of this place is magical. We decompressed here for a few days post wedding, just hanging with friends eating and drinking by the fire pit. We now have some special memories of this farm house tucked away in Uraidla, and cannot wait to return :)

An absolutely beautiful spot! The photos do not do it justice. Lovely touches like biscuits and nice soaps etc were greatly enjoyed. The house is utterly charming and much bigger than you'd think. We enjoyed a wonderful relaxing weekend with our baby daughter. Ros is a fantastic host. Thank you!

A country getaway less than 20 minutes from the city?! Ros's place is perfectly secluded, yet still super close to anything you may need. Check in and communication was a breeze. The cottage itself is so quaint, with the character of years past colliding with the modern era perfectly. Ros was lovely in accommodating a special request of mine and we had the most amazing weekend getaway staying in this cottage and exploring the grounds. Hopefully we'll be back soon :)

Came to the Adelaide Hills for a girls weekend and had the best time. The farm is so beautiful and perfectly located to experience the best of both Adelaide city and the Adelaide Hills. Loved it!
