Situated three miles from the quaint and historic village of Mumbles, two charming bedrooms, light and airy (double and single) adjacent to each other, and set on the right side of the property away from the family rooms. We are located in a peaceful area on the gateway to the beautiful Gower Peninsula, making this an ideal base for exploring the breathtaking coastline. Use of the utility room with kettle, toaster and microwave, together with the 'Snug' is reserved for our guests to relax and enjoy time together during their stay. Breakfast in the garden should the Welsh weather permit!

The space

The house is well maintained and the bedrooms are pleasant and comfortable spaces. We have a Double and Single bedroom with separate bathroom for our guests. (*Please note*....If you are 2 people and would like use of both Double and Single rooms, you will need to book for 3 people to secure both bedrooms.) The double bedroom has wardrobe and drawer space, a mirror, TV and and overlooks the back garden. The single bedroom has wardrobe space a full length mirror and is situated at the front of the house. Both rooms are accessed via a staircase and are set apart from the family bedrooms, affording privacy. Use of the bathroom is exclusively reserved for guests for the duration of their stay.

Make use of the small kitchen to prepare a light breakfast (kettle, toaster & microwave provided) and eat in the 'snug' / family room, where there is a comfy corner suite and table. Breakfast is included in the price - I am happy to provide tea/coffee, milk and cereals, together with bread and spread/jams for making toast at breakfast. I can also recommend local eateries where guests can purchase breakfast should they wish.

Guest access

I will be around to allow guests access to the house at all times, unless otherwise arranged. Access is via the front of the property via a porch into the entrance hall. A staircase gives access to guest bedrooms on the right of the property, whilst a second staircase gives access to the bathroom and family bedrooms. Guests will have sole use of the bathroom during their stay. Use of the 'snug', which is located directly off the small kitchen will also be reserved for guests.

Interaction with guests

I am happy to assist guests with their requirements during their stay and can provide information on places to visit should they wish. I am a fluent Welsh speaker and happy to converse in both English and Welsh languages.

Other things to note

Just to say that we are a happy, easy - going couple and look forward to welcoming you into our family home. We welcome all guests, with the exception of children, as our home has not been adapted to make it safe/suitable for children.

*Please note, if you are booking for 2 people, but want use of both double and single rooms, you will need to book for 3 people to secure both rooms. Thanks.

Alison's house is in a very nice, extremely quiet and private estate with easy reach of the sea front at mumbles. The house itself is elegant and the rooms are calm and decorated nicely. It's absolutely pristine, literally not a speck of dust anywhere and we can be a bit fussy, so trust us- it's very clean. Beds were comfy, and we felt very at home and looked after. We had a great continental breakfast which more than set us up for the day, and having the use of a living room all to ourselves was great. There's a stunning back garden which is fully enclosed and really lovely to sit in. Alison is friendly, accommodating, unobtrusive, well travelled and interesting. We would totally recommend- we had a very positive experience.

Alison's accommodation is spacious and spotless. Her hospitality is outstanding, with many thoughtful little touches, and checking with us that everything was ok. The availability of tea and coffee making facilities, along with a microwave if required, and a very comfy room to sit in, make it so much nicer than an impersonal hotel room. She gave us excellent suggestions for where to eat, and helped us decide on a walk that was suitable for the time we had available. We wouldn't hesitate to use this again.

Immaculately clean and excellent breakfast facilities. Our hostess was delightful and nothing was too much trouble. She ensured that we had a super time on our first visit to this lovely area despite the rain!

Alison and Stuart were both nice host. The place is beautiful and well placed between city center and mumbles. Quite place to spend time. Alison and Stuart were available for a little chat as well which was nice to get to know them too. Thanks to both for the good time.

Alison and Stuart gave us a very warm welcome and their hospitality was much appreciated. Their home is beautiful and in a great location, walking distance to everything we needed. We could not have wished for better hosts and wish you could have spent longer. Thanks again to Alison & Stuart for the use of their spotlessly clean home, great company, dinner advice and the very yummy brekkie!! Hope to be back for longer! Cheers Di & Roger

Alison and her husband have been amazing hosts throughout our stay. The house is lovely, clean and cosy and also in a very convenient location for travelling around the area. I will definitely recommend Alison's place and wouldn't hesitate to go back!
