It's really great experience. If you want to have a traditional life style just like a local people, you really should choose here! For me , I love tatami and any thing historical ! The most important part of this trip is warm heart hosts! We were talking and talking, share everything we interested! The breakfast is great! Grandma's son drove us for a long time to the subway! It makes me so embarrassed and s(PHONE NUMBER HIDDEN) thankful! I definitely will live there if I visit Nagoya next time! Ayako, if you visit ningbo in the future, please tell me, there is a home waiting for you!

We were spending our last day in Japan in Nagoya, and I happened to book thus place the night before. The house is about a 15 minutes walk from Ozone station. The room we spent the night in has a traditional look to it, which was a nice plus. Our room was in a separate house right next to Ayako's. Ayako was a wonderful host, as she gave tips on how to get around, and even drove us to Nagoya Castle and Ozone station! She is also fluent in English; you won't have any trouble with miscommunication. Do keep in mind that the shower room is in Ayako's house, so you would have to shower before she heads off to bed (~10 pm).

We had an absolutely wonderful time at Ayako's place. Ayako and Hiro, her son, really went out of their way to make our stay an absolutely fantastic and cultural experience. We were picked up from the train station and greeted with tea, driven to Nagoya Castle and shown around Nagoya to experience its culinary side in the evening. Sleeping in the traditional tatami room was awesome and so was breakfast the next morning. We were even driven to Nagoya station the next day because it was raining! We were looked after so well and couldn't have wished for a better host and a more wonderful stay. We cannot recommend this place more and would love to stay there again! Thank you so much for having us, it was fantastic!

The house is very large, clean, and spacious especially for Japanese standards. The detached house includes one large room (sleeps 2) and one small room that one could sleep in and/or put luggage in. It is a convenient bus ride away from downtown Nagoya and Nagoya train station. Ayako-san is the sweetest lady ever. She picked us up from the train station, and showed us around Nagoya on her car. Her breakfast was very delicious. She gave us detailed instructions and recommendations on how to get around Nagoya and what to do. Communication was effortless, since she is fluent in English. Being there on a weekend, her son Hiro-san gave me a bike tour to Nagoya on one of his days off--one of the trip's highlights. On seeing that we had a lot of luggage, he was gracious enough to offer us a ride to the airport, asking only that we cover (barely) the gas and toll fees.

the host is the best one I've ever met. ayako san and her son are very nice and helpful. to stay in their house is the best experience I have in Nagoya. the neighborhood is quiet and comfortable. there is a 24hr supermarket and some restaurants nearby. it takes 15 mins to ozone station and 5 mins to bus stop. its very easy to find it, because it's close to the tokugawa garden!
