Certainly, we feel, we owe you a reply equally narrative not to convince you but to make things lucid and clear to our incoming guests.
After successfully being Airbnb hosts for about 2 years in our super luxury home, with about 300+ guests before you, giving us all 5 ***** reviews, we understand that yours is the FIRST MOST MISUNDERSTOOD ONE about our very listing, driving you to write such a critical and negative review! Due to the excellent features and parameters of our home, please note we have bookings, back to back, throughout the year!
One single ‘not recommended’ review by you is NOT going to impact us! The reason, we chose to write this one is to inform the real truth to the readers behind your false and baseless review, in spite of our giving you a 5* review!
You have stated that we sent out a few days before your stay, a huge set of rules you have to strictly follow. Please note this is just a reiteration of what has been already stated in our listing clearly and in more than one place in the listing. So, none of the rules should have come as a surprise to you and Nicole, unless you both did not read the listing fully before you did the booking. Another most surprising thing in your case is that at the time you checked-in, we also interacted about the rules and the reasons for us to put them in place. For example, no footwear in our ultra clean home is to avoid germs that might come along with the footwear in order to not to affect our guests coming from various parts of the world, in any manner! You were actively participating in that discussion and on top of it, you appreciated the reasons behind the rules and the explanation given thereof on every rule given in our listing itself.
You promised you will take care of our place, as you are too good and will not be doing anything in contravention of the rules. You expressed very clearly that, before checking in, you did feel why so many rules, meaning and clearly proving that you had already gone through our rules, and after checking in, you realized the fact why so many rules, due to the excellent presentation of our accommodation!
So, from the word go in our listings and in our communication to our guests, we have been honest and transparent about what we have to offer and we have never remained undisclosed about any of the features of the property either in the listing, or in the pre-arrival message we send out to our arriving guests or during the chat we normally have with our guests at the time of check-in.
Also, in our pre-arrival message, we have offered to resolve any problem instantly, that guests may experience during their stay, and NOT to bring up after checking out. This is what exactly you have done Markus. Instead of talking out your problems,which are actually not problems at all (perhaps you assumed we cannot solve them), you chose to write a shallow review without considering the fact that we have clearly said in our listing “ours is only a ‘BED and BATH (BNB) (Sleep and shower) but a world-class one!” We have clearly said in our listing itself non-availability of everything you have listed out as “not available”. There have been several instances where we have adjusted our rules and accommodated the requirements of our guests. You never asked for anything when you were staying. There have been several long-term guests (more than 21 days) who stayed with us and never ever reacted the way you have, and they have all given excellent reviews about our place and about us. You have said no communication and we think you are the most communicated guests by us ever! Every guest stayed before you, liked the privacy of our rooms, though it is within the part of the main house and you have mentioned as if you were in a cage! Yiou have mentioned that footwear were made to be kept outside, even when raining. Did you not see that the place where you stored your shoes was beuatifully covered with our brand new awning?
Please, next time when you book any property, please read the listing thoroughly before booking, otherwise, another host will have to face your unjustified review.
We have been receiving guests not only from Canada / USA but from almost all countries and all are very much in praise of our property, saying ours is much better than a star hotel. Please go through all our reviews, in case, if you get time! If you have expected way too much from our facility, you should have looked out for a place meeting all your expectations.
Please note it’s a well-known fact even the very Airbnb when they started, they offered only a Bed and Bath facility!
