Our well used truck camper is 18 years old, with the signs of wear that you'd expect. (Canvas has some stains) Sink, 3 burner cooktop, fridge in good working order. Full size bed is a bunk (requires climbing in and out of.) Dinette converts to single bed. Safe, quiet neighborhood. Abuts rail trail for hiking/biking. Kayak rental and lake swimming nearby. Near a major route, so there is road noise, but easy access to Keene or Gardner. Shared bath off kitchen. Larger families bring a tent along!

Gretchen was extremely accomodating with our arrival time. She was really thoughtful in her organization of the camper and made sure that we had everything we needed. We also had full access to the bathroom and the kitchen in her house which were only a short walk from the camper. The dogs and the cat were super fun to play with. We had a wonderful stay at Gretchen's camper and would highly recommend it!

Thanks again for opting to stay with us! We were happy to have you...and what a pleasant surprise to get home from work and find the nice note you'd left! I also noticed how the boys (the dogs) took to you both immediately. They don't always do that... they are good judges of character. Glad you enjoyed your stay, even with the rain. We'd welcome you back anytime!

Rachel and I had a fantastic weekend despite the rain. The camper was perfectly clean with more then enough supplies to last anyone for a few days. There were items for hygiene, coffee, tea, and small food items like peanut butter and crackers. Rachel mentioned we wanted a fire for smores and when we arrived, Gretchen took out a license to burn a fire and even surprised us with the supplies for smores. We had brought what we thought we needed in terms of food and hygiene, but anything we had, Gretchen offered us in the event that we didn't. We felt so welcome and at home, and Gretchen is super easy going and friendly. Her dogs bark a little bit at first, but what friendly dogs don't say hi? Both dogs are equally as friendly as Gretchen. On top of everything that Gretchen offered us, she even surprised us with a nice welcoming letter/folder telling us all about the area and places to visit that are most popular/worth visiting. Inside the folder were a bunch of maps, and tons of information about the area and different attractions/events going on. The space overall is small, and definitely not for the high maintenance. We are easy going people, and loved where we stayed. Even in the rain it was quiet and peaceful. The camper was also heated so the cold was no issue. It wasn't terribly cold, but we were always warm. Gretchen's camper is perfect for people looking to be in the great outdoors, and to get away from normal/high functioning society. I haven't been this at peace both mentally and physically in years. There are plenty of places in the area for exploration as well as dining. The main city in the area is old school, but updated at the same time. Great for pictures/videos. The people are very friendly and live courteously as I imagine people should treat people all the time. Overall I would love to come back and would rate the experience a 10/10 despite the rain, but like I said, this is not an experience for the high maintenance. If you like the simple life/great outdoors or are interested in a first experience to learn about it, I highly recommend this stay. Gretchen is so nice that she even offered to let us stay in the spare room of her house if the rain was too much for us in the camper. Thank you again so much Gretchen!

Aw, thanks Ryan! You and Rachel were wonderful guests. From the moment I met you both I felt like you were "good people". Some people you just like the instant you meet them. That's how it was when you arrived. Your visit only solidified that for me. Come back anytime!
