John was the perfect host for our trip to Dublin, from start to finish. He ensured that we would have everything we needed as soon as we arrived - including basic provisions for breakfast and of course a cup of tea on arrival! John's co-host, Douglas was very helpful in giving us local information alongside a tour of the house and all details necessary for our stay. The house is immaculate, clean, comfortable, warm and welcoming in a quiet and friendly area of Dublin. For us it was the perfect place to be and we all had some of the best nights sleep we've had in a while - the beds were wonderful! It was also excellent value for money. Thanks John, delighted I found your house - we will be back!

The flat was very well equipped with all amenities you need. Very clean, quiet area, not terribly far from nightlife or activities. Communication was top notch and everything in the flat is well marked and straightforward. Would recommend!

The hospitality offered by John is second to none. This is the second time I have stayed and I can't recommend it highly enough. Our first visit was for holiday purposes, unfortunately this one due to ill health of a family member. The home was presented beautifully on each occasion but what stood out the first time and was multiplied (if possible ) the second was the generousity of John and his friend in making the extra effort to accomodate me. thanks again John. I look forward to visiting again.

The photos give an accurate impression of this comfortable and we'll located town house. John is an attentive host and answered questions thoroughly and quickly at all stages. Neighbourhood is quiet and close to a handy Lúas tram stop. We chose to walk to the centre a couple of times, which took about 25 minutes at a leisurely pace. House is very clean, beds are comfortable and kitchen well equipped. The nearby Museum of Ireland is well worth a visit. I would be happy to return to John's place.

We had 4 days trip in Dublin. John's house is located in a very nice and quite residential surrounding. 5 min. to Tram station Museum. We mostly walked to downtown on the south river side within 30min. Smithfield market is also close. The interior is very cozy and tasteful. Everything was perfect prepared by John and his co host Douglas. Doulas even brought us some fresh bread, cheese, milk and wein by our arrival. We enjoyed the stay very much. Definitely recommend.

My name's John. I'm Irish, and though I am from "down the country" I have lived in this neighbourhood for almost 20 years and know it as well as anyone can. It's such a friendly and authentic area, with a great mix of people: Some new, others whose families have been here for generations.
I love travelling in Ireland and Europe and my big passions are history and the outdoors. Regular hillwalking keeps me fit and is great for catching up with friends! I am a very social person, and having had so many great Airbnb experiences as a guest over the years, I'm now really happy to be hosting guests myself and introducing them to Dublin.

I'm looking forward to welcoming you to Stoneybatter in Dublin!
