The place is adorable and clean! It's is kind of in the middle of no where. But so peaceful and quite. We didn't mind the drive to the wedding we were attending in the area because we just loved being in the woods away from our normally hectic lives ! Highly recommend! I will stay there again !

Bakery Lane is a truly delightful place to stay. The cottage is clean, tidy, and comfortable. The kitchen is filled with all of the essentials which made cooking a joy. When I stayed, the Cottage Garden was brimming with dragon spotted beans, cilantro and basil, lettuce greens, kale, cherry tomatoes, tomatoes, and cabbage, all which Jan and Gerard generously encouraged me to enjoy. The wooded setting is private and quiet, mostly shaded with some dappled sunlight. A fire pit, picnic table, and gas grill are a stone's throw out the door for more outdoor enjoyment. Special attention has been given to offering organic cotton goods (sheets, fluffy towels) and natural soaps/cleaning supplies. Jan and Gerard are very available and gracious for questions, directions, or assistance as needed. I couldn't recommend Bakery Lane more highly!

Staying at the cottage was as great as expected, it allowed us to relax away from the noise of the city. It was super clean and we had everything we needed. The veggies we got from the cottage garden were delicious and being surrounded by the forest was so nice and peaceful. 10/10 would recommend and stay there again!

We stayed in the cottage with a baby, which was very comfortable. It has everything you need (and we brought what we needed for the little one) and everything is good quality and still very new. We also enjoyed grilling zucchinis from the garden in the fire pit. And do ask Gerard&Jan for directions to a secret and quiet part of the beach. Recommended!

It was great to have Fenne and family join us and who can resist the awesome smile of their baby. They were our first week long guests and we really enjoyed having them here. They communicated well and left the cottage very clean. We hope they can visit Michigan again in the future.
