The location is amazing, with a short walk down a steep hillside to your own virtually-private beach. There's less view of the ocean than I expected because of many tall trees, but it's still lovely. But unfortunately we couldn't use the patio or have the windows open much because of a smell rising from the septic field.

Response from Vacasa Oregon:
It's great to hear you enjoyed the lovely beach location. The septic was being repaired and the project is now finished, we're so sorry if that was a disruption during your stay. We hope you'll consider staying with us again if you're in the area.

I've lived in Portland for 20 years now, so I've taken my share of trips to the Oregon coast, and my stay here was the best I've ever had, which is saying A LOT. This unit is not one of the a-frames you see in the exterior photos, but is on the ground floor of the other, normal/square building. Though a-frames are certainly charming, in this case it's really not a disadvantage, since the unit has its own little patio looking directly over the sea cliff, with no other buildings in the way. Though the beach has at least one public access point (via the park at its north end, where you can look into the Devil's Punchbowl), huge swaths of it were basically deserted, especially in the early evenings. We ran five miles south on it during low tide, and the topography of the rocks and pools was absolutely breathtaking. If you feel like splurging, this spot is also about a 5-minute drive to Restaurant Beck. It's a very nice, rather pricey restaurant that has been nominated several times for James Beard awards. The food is excellent, but equally impressive was the view. It's perched at the lip of Whale Cove, a habitat reserve that whales use as a pitstop in the spring. Absolutely worth it. There was a bit of confusion in checking in that was not an error on Vacasa's part (the message with the code for the lockbox wound up in my spam folder), but they were super quick in responding to my worried message and it was resolved very quickly. I would highly recommend this location on the coast, and this is a wonderful spot from which to enjoy it!
