Enjoy the experience of rustic cabin living without running water or electricity (UPDATE: now has solar powered lights, charger and fan). Canoe and kayak are available to explore the Mississippi. Wood cook stove, propane heater, fire pit, firewood, games, flashlights. Bring drinking water, a cooler with ice, bug spray and an adventurous spirit!

The space
This rustic cabin is a great get away for nature lovers who want to experience life off the grid. Keep an eye out for eagles, loons, herons and other wildlife as you sit on the dock or paddle on the river. This location in a peaceful neighborhood is known for its beautiful sunsets and its quiet surroundings but is located 10 minutes from Bemidji.
Come relax by the fire and enjoy the tranquility of water and wildlife on the Mississippi River.

Guest access
You are welcome to explore the 3 1/2 acres and use the canoe and kayak and life jackets, the fire pit, and as much firewood as you need. Enjoy a private cabin in the woods and breathe in nature.

Other things to note
This is NOT a modern cabin. You will experience the simple life of living in the woods that is similar to camping but with the convenience of a newly built cabin. The only bathroom is an outside port-a-john. There is a ladder to climb to get to the sleeping loft. Come slow down, relax and enjoy the beauty of the river, the woods and the Dream Catcher Cabin.

During summer months with the leaves on the trees you can barely tell that there are neighboring cabins. Private, quiet, peaceful.

I have always had a dream of owning a cabin. In 2015 I had a very small cabin built and named it Dream Catcher Cabin. My idea of a perfect cabin is one from my childhood with no water or electricity and with a sleeping loft and wood cook stove. As you can see I designed my cabin after that childhood cabin. I love kayaking on a calm day at sunset, I have hundreds of photos taken from kayak of the sky above the river. I love watermelon, cross country skiing and baking.
