This is a spacious bedroom with a sunny balcony, located on the first floor of a charming house with wooden floors. At the same time the house is very close to Mamak (Haymarket), Sydney Fish Market, Broadway, and Glebe Point Rd with lots of bohemian restaurants and shops. The room is excellent for couples, solo adventurers, and business travellers.

- Internet use: Due to legal regulations and courtesy to other guests, no online streaming and downloading large files (i.e. via torrents) is allowed.
- We kindly request our guests to take off their shoes when entering the house
- For the best comfort of all inhabitants, please keep it quiet between 11 pm and 7 am.
- When using the master bedroom's shower, please do not fill the basin up with water (It's a fully functional shower, just not the best bathtub ;) )
- Please do not feed the cats and do not leave food in places where they can access it.
- There is additional cost for using the washing machine - $10 per one load. Please let me know if you wish to do laundry.

This is the second time I've stayed at Robert's place. Like last time, the best aspects of the room are its generous size and having a private ensuite with a shower - no need to check the schedules of everyone in the house. Being only a few minutes walk from the light rail station also means that you can be in the city in no time.

Great value and very close walking distance to great restaurants! I walked to downtown Sydney easily on a beautiful day. Would recommend.

The room is great, location is fabulous... however, I chose airbnb instead of hotel/hostel for a little bit of home comfort but the pillows are really not comfortable (fussy I know) and I stayed in winter and the room was reealllyy cold at night and there were often neighbours dogs barking really loudly. Having said that, I would recommend for those on a budget and for goes staying in summer - when it's warm!!

Thanks for the review Kate and I'm sorry that you felt cold. Yet there is a modern inverted AC/heater in the room (in the wardrobe area) which just needs too be turned on and heats the place effectively. Too bad we didn't talk about this during your stay :( I will now include this in our room description. Also we have plenty of pillows in the house, so they can be exchanged if needed. If you happen to choose our place again please don't hesitate to contact me with such issues - most of them are easy to solve and I am always happy to help. Wish you good future travels!

Robert's very helpful and responsive. The house is tidy, clean, spacious, and in good location. Its easy to get a close on-street parking overnight. Neighbours are quiet.

Exactly what I needed for a business stay in Sydney. Robert went out of his way to make everything easy and as others mentioned, the private bath is a great plus.
