Cabin #5 is a cozy getaway located on the beautiful Rangeley Lake. Guests have direct access to the lake via 100 meter walk to the dock. You will be a less than 5 minute drive to a bustling main street with great local shops and eateries.
This is a quaint one room cabin that overlooks Rangeley Lake. I would consider it luxuriously primitive. It has running water, electricity, and wifi. A trip to the lake provides time for reflection or adventure.
Guests have access to the whole cabin. Guests may use owner's kayaks. They are located on a rack on the dock and labeled with the number 5. Paddles are located on the boathouse, also labeled number 5. Please note that Maine law states that all boats must have a life jacket available for each passenger; 2 life jackets are stored in the cabin. Please feel free to use the shared docks to relax by the lake.
Interaction with guests
I am often working but will ensure someone can assist guests if needed throughout their stay.
Other things to note
There are some dogs that may be on the property, many cabin owners have dogs. They are all friendly and may look for attention. Please do not feed them.
Please respect our neighbors by keeping quiet hours of 11pm-8am.
I am an adventurous human that loves dogs!!!! I work for an experiential education organization and am often in the backcountry somewhere. When I travel I like to spend time getting to know the locals and understand the culture. I am new to hosting and imagine that I will be quite hands-off due to my work schedule. However, the cabin is in a community of 6 other cabins and you will have the support you need if needed.
