Small room with two windows overlooking the park, with a closet, and a light. You can check in as early as you want if you just want to leave off your luggage

The space

This is a shared apartment with one to two other guests. The apartment is large. Most guests are only here to sleep and don't spend much time in the apartment. Please try to keep the common areas clean, and if you use the kitchen please clean up after yourself. This is an old apartment, the kitchen and baths have not been updated in a number of years, but the beds are new.

Guest access

Most guests come for short visits and have business matters at Yale University.

Interaction with guests

I live in New Haven so I am only ten minutes away. If you have a problem getting in touch with me please contact Natasha at (PHONE NUMBER HIDDEN). Usually I am available most of the time, except for Friday nights and Saturday days.

Other things to note

This is an old house, it was built in the late 1800s, do not expect a modern, newly renovated place.

A great place to stay in New Haven for travelers on a budget. The house is clean, the neighborhood is safe, and the location within an easy walk of downtown New Haven and Yale. An excellent deal overall.

This room is not for everyone but is definitely suitable depending on your needs. All I really needed was bed for 3 nights. And that's what I got. This room is literally just ~ 9 ft x 4.5 ft. The bed occupies most of the room with just enough space to walk out of bed to the door. But the guests and hosts were friendly, the check in / out was simple, and it's an easy walk to the main part of Yale's campus. I have stayed in a number of similarly price (or more expensive) motels and those tend to be a bit dirtier than this place and smell chemically. This place was generally clean and was comfortable to come back to. Though, it's clear there are a number of quick fixes done on the house that make it a bit odd. For my purposes, this was a fine place to stay and I would recommend it to anyone who needs to crash cheaply in a clean and convenient place.

This place was quite the steal. It is very much a crash pad, but the 20 minute walk to Yale and downtown made this place worth every penny. The place is also a 20 minute walk to the Metro North station so catching a train to New York is a breeze! The host was very communicative and helpful. The WiFi is fast. Even though the house does have air conditioning, the freshness doesn't fully reach the room, but there is a fan so that's fine. It's pretty much a place to sleep and shower (hence the title "Crash Pad"), but there's also a kitchen to cook in and a washer and dryer for laundry! Overall, a pretty good deal and I will definitely be staying again in the future.

Everything was how it is discribed in the offer. I was just there for a night as a break on my trip to NYC. Lawrence was very kind and friendly. I would recomment it if you dont ask for to much luxury. Thank you for hosting me and being so uncomplicated! I appreciate!

As advertised: simple, convenient, well-run. Easy to get to Yale and to Union Station. I had a very pleasant short stay.
