This micro "tiny home" studio with A/C and heat is an amazing retreat in the backyard of our main house. It's situated on an exotic hardwood deck with a two person hot tub, under to a 700-year old redwood tree. Outside, take a HOT shower under the stars alongside a curtain of bamboo in a beautifully landscaped garden. There's a cold water sink, mini fridge, Apple TV with Netflix and Hulu, and Wi-Fi. We're located 15 minutes from San Francisco, and 45 minutes from Sonoma and Napa wine country.

The space

This is a unique experience for guests looking for something a bit different. The studio is a tiny space, insulated well, and features solid bamboo flooring. It's cozy and comfortable, with a quality TWIN-sized futon for a bed. We provide a fancy memory foam mattress pad, nice pillows, and a down comforter that combine to make the sleeping arrangement quite enjoyable and intimate. The toilet is in the corner of the room, separated by a curtain. The sink brings in cold water only, so it's perfect for handwashing and teeth brushing, while providing potable drinking water. There is a remote controlled A/C and heating unit which keeps the climate perfect, although open windows in Northern California are usually just right! Watch shows using the Apple TV, equipped with Netflix and Hulu, or log in to your iTunes account to watch whatever you'd like. A mini fridge is also provided to keep beverages and light snacks cold. The studio is not equipped for cooking or heating up anything. A coffee maker is provided, along with fresh ground coffee, coconut creamer, and agave sweetener.

The studio opens to an exotic hardwood deck, where you can soak in the two person hot tub, while enjoying a glass of wine or a great local craft beer (corkscrew and unbreakable Govino glasses supplied) at the base of a 700 year old redwood tree. Across the garden, you'll have an outdoor hot shower for bathing under the stars! It's an experience unlike any other. An on-demand propane heater provides consistent hot water to a handcrafted exposed copper pipe shower, with a hot and cold valve. Standing on a stone slab and showering under a palm tree alongside a curtain of bamboo is amazing!

I loved it! Sean's place was super cozy and secluded while also being close to a lot of stuff. Its tucked far enough away from the house to feel like your own place. The hot tub was amazing and so was the shower. I would highly suggest this especially to people traveling alone or with a close partner. Would definitely come back if I'm in the area again!

We had a great stay here. We had everything we needed. The Whole Foods nearby was very convenient. The outdoor shower was a really cool experience. We took a shower under the stars and the bright moon. I did shower in my swimsuit. My terry cloth robe came in handy; the night air was chilly. The small bed was cozy for my husband and I; but was a nice change from sleeping on "our sides" of the bed. We were conviently near the freeway on-ramp. Sean was a great communicator. The space was clean, well-maintained and neat.

Thanks to (SENSITIVE CONTENTS HIDDEN) Maps, the place was a little challenging to find at first and once I figured it out .. holy what a gem! The landscaping and design of the tiny home and outdoor area itself is impressive! Both Sean and his wife were very communicative and welcoming! Super good vibes Perfect spot for my solo travels. Everything I needed was there in style; outdoor shower, hot tub, tv with Netflix and Hulu, secluded and tranquil backyard with plenty of privacy even though it was in the back yard. Will be trying to stay here any time I'm up north! Thanks again

Loved Sean's tiny house, separate from the main house it felt very secluded and private. The inside was very clean and simple, and from the private deck to the jacuzzi to the outdoor shower it exceeded expectations. Would most definitely recommend to a friend or family.

My wife and I love to travel. We are fond of road trips, and recently bought an electric car, which we are looking forward to driving around the country.
