Though our home is nestled in the forest, it is easily accessible via I-80; a mere 2.8 miles off that main thoroughfare. The accommodations have a private entrance for guests to come & go as they please. Our place is good for couples, solo adventurers, and business travelers. We are also a great option when I-80 is closed - use the instant-booking option and we will provide additional instructions.
Please note: Local law requires we advise guests that $3.60 of nightly fee charged is a Transient Occupancy Tax that will be paid to Placer County on the guest's behalf. This is not an additional fee - it is already included in the nightly rate.
Our accommodations feature lots of privacy, remarkable views, and in the warm months, a large deck for morning coffee & complimentary pastries. We have nearly 6 acres with a beautiful park-like area - perfect for a picnic lunch.
Guests will have access to their bedroom space as well as a bathroom that is directly next to the bedroom. This is a private bathroom to be used only by our guests. Guests are also welcome to venture out to the back deck that can be accessed via the sliding glass door in their room. There is also a front deck the guests are welcome to use. We sit on nearly 6 acres and our guests are free to explore the area.
Interaction with guests
Because we want to make your stay the best it possibly can be, we are always instantly available via text and encourage our guests not to hesitate to ask questions or voice concerns. We will stay out of your way and give you all the privacy afforded at top-name hotels. At the same time, we are happy to interact if that is our guest's desire.
Our listing is suitable for infants, however, please be aware that the area has NOT been baby-proofed.
If you wish to check-in prior to noon on the day of your arrival, please note this in your booking request. Thanks!
We are Gary & Allie - Super Hosts in Northern California. We have been married for 25 years, have 4 adult children and two amazing grandkids. We live on a 6-acre parcel in forest of the Sierra Foothills in a home we designed and built ourselves in 2002.
We are both retired and have a home-based business where we work together creating unique furniture pieces from reclaimed lumber and salvaged pieces.
We love being outside, gardening, bike-riding and boating. You can frequently find us at Rollins Lake enjoying the sunshine, water and sandy beaches.
We will always show our hosts' property the utmost respect and will be sure to follow all hosts' house rules.
