The beach house is such a little gem , Deirdre is a fabulous host , providing biscuits , milk , butter etc , you just feel like at home but better ! The house is a beautiful cottage , right by the sea and a fabulous beach , the fireplace and the comfy sofas makes you feel like you're as relaxed and happy as you can . You have also buckets and nets to do sand castle and fishing, our daughter was just over the moon ! We were very sad to leave , it was absolutely magical , we will be back ! It's the just the perfect place if you're looking for peace , rest , walks on the beaches and non touristy holidays and long evening by the fire ;) thanks so much Deirdre !

We spent 3 wonderful nights at Deirdres beach house, we have 3 kids and they had a great time! So handy to have buckets and spades available also jigsaws and board games for evening entertainment. Deirdre left fresh eggs, biscuits & fruit which was greatly appreciated after our long journey. We lit the fire every night as it was just lovely to see it lighting. A short walk up the fields to the shop. We had no trouble using the tidal road. Deirdre left us a high tide timetable so we knew in advance when we could come and go. We would come back again!

Home from home ... Fenit is so peaceful and beautiful but only a short drive to so many gorgeous locations. The beach is lovely and I'd recommend the harbour for a walk and a coffee (or a pint!). For a day out I'd recommend Slea Head Drive, Dingle is such a buzzy town and the drive has the most amazing scenery I've ever seen! The house is so lovely, comfortable and really homey with everything you could want. Location is great, scenic and quiet but only a few minutes walk to the local shop, pub and cafe. Deirdre was a great host, so many touches in the house that made us feel really welcomed and her communication and directions etc couldn't have been better. Deirdre is only a text away for any questions. We'll definitely be back!

The host was excellent from first contact to checking out. Would highly recommend to anyone as the cottage is picturesque and has a lot personal touches to help you feel right at home from the moment you walk in. One of the most beautiful parts of the world we've stayed, has everything from mountains, wooded areas, beautiful sea views and plenty to do in an around the area if you love exploring or alternatively have a nice night in in front of a big fire, would definitely stay again

Deirdre welcomed us with biscuits, fruit, milk and eggs. Such a sweet gesture! We brought our 3 young kids and they loved exploring the rocks out back of the house at low tide searching for crabs and shells and getting wet. The house is in the middle of beautiful views all around, with easy access to sandy beaches, and less than a 10 min walk to a great Pub, a children's playground, and take away Fish n Chips. It was a great spot for exploring Dingle Peninsula. We did Slea Head Drive and Conor Pass, and this was a great location for that part of Kerry.

I love what the Kerry landscape offers changing daily for great walks on nearby beaches and mountains with my 4 dogs, so many walks to choose from on the Wild Atlantic Way on our doorstep. We are at the starting point for the Dingle Way an 8 day walking round trip from Tralee walking the ring of the Dingle Peninsula and back to Tralee or can be done in sections to enjoy a 3 day walking tour would take you from Tralee to Camp 6/7 hours, Camp to Anascaul, & Anascaul to Dingle. Lots to do around Kerry from Whale watching off Dingle to 4x4 Off Roading, Sea Kayaking, Wild Swimming Tours , Open Water Swimming, & Coasteering with Wild Water Adventures.
My husband loves the many golf courses near us. Tralee golf course 18 hole links as is Ballybunion Golf course & Waterville Golf course. We enjoy the fun & entertainment here in Tralee in August for the Rose of Tralee festival. Every September we have the harvest racing festival in Listowel just 30 mins drive, Listowel writers week every June.
I have completed the cameno walk in northern Spain, scuba diving in Mexico and around Kerry with our local scuba diving club in Castlegregory just 8 miles from us. We walk daily on the many beaches with the dogs, Fenit fishing pier & island is one of Anthony's favourite, mine is Stradbally or black rock to Ballyheigue.
On our day off we drive to many beautiful towns near by like Dingle, to see fungi the dolphin ( try swiming with our friendly Dolphin )we take a boat ride to the Blasket Islands for a walk , also Skellig Rock where Star Wars was filmed in 2015 Killarney & Kenmare for a walk and great food.
We use the Aqua dome here 10 min walk from us to swim most days.
We love having guests stay with us , to make friends with and share our local knowledge and hobbies, we gladly assist with pick up or drop off from train , bus or our local Kerry Airport just ask. A very handy way to find directions and location of apartment is to log onto and enter our address or the postcode V92 P9YW
