Response from Rachel:
Waw, sorry you felt that way Sally, you didn't show those emotions when I saw you face to face :( it's too bad .
Well, the "little to no contact with me" is mentioned as a wish in the rent description (interior rules section I guess). As I start to run my own business, am super busy and not really available to get in touch with all the guests (even if it would be awesome in an other context).
So, it's also said in the description that am looking mostly for independent people who have a planning in the city. And we're totally flexible with people come and go any hour of days and nights :) We don't bother with this and appreciate to keep going with the work on our side.
About the Shared bathroom, it's pretty clear in the apartment pictures that there's just one, right? :) This is the first time someone misunderstood this pretty clear information.
Sorry for you again Sally, hope you were not too disappointed about it. And to mention the good part, I think we can say it's a big and super clean bathroom, the "fine" is a bit deceptive for us also...
The Room is small, indeed, many guest are couples and don't complain thanks to the beautiful atmosphere we created in the room, and the quality of the bed, which, for us matters the most: offering a good resting sleep to our guests. We think it's a cosy room. You we're not lucky with the noise in the courtyard, we don't have any control on this, and we live in a city, so, well, there's other people around. So I can't help with baby crying, or people taken a shower at midnight, as you can imagine.
Beside, our building IS actually exactly on the river, our entrance is on the river. Then I can assure you, we're lucky that our windows gives on a charming view on the street just behind with restaurants and nice neighbors. And the point to be on the river, is that when you get out our building, you can take some stuff and have a picnic with your flip flop cause we look on the river from the building.
For the record, The river at night in summer is a real mess, people breaking glasses, drinking all night, put music really loud. If you had the view, you would also have a noise far more annoying that a baby crying, believe me.
I'am glad you were at least happy about the location. Well, in the end, there's always someone who is unhappy with what you have to offer, that's life. Am sorry that happened to you, and will do my best to be more specific about those points with the next guests (even if it never was an issue before) so, that's for the feed back !
