Bright apartment on the top floor of a Venetian house, overlooking a quiet canal in the Dorsoduro district.

Recently restored, with exposed trusses, it has many windows from which you can observe the Venetian life, the gondolas on the canal, beautiful sunsets and the roofs of Venice.

Spacious lounge with open kitchen, microwave, bathroom with bathtub, two bedrooms with double bed or two single beds, Wi-fi, air conditioning, washing machine, hairdryer.

The space
From five of the windows you can see the Saint Mark's bell tower.

Wi-fi internet access is available, and there's a small library dedicated to art books.

NO LIFT!! It's really rare in Venice. Please, remember we are at the third floor.

The apartment is removed from the tourist crush, but if you want to join the "movida" of Venice, you just have to turn the corner: the apartment is just 3-4 minutes far from the city entrances, Piazzale Roma and the railway station, and 2 minutes far from the lively Campo Santa Margherita, a beautiful square where it's possible to let the babies run and play without danger. The Carmini area is quiet, supermarkets and the main shops are just few steps away.

In 5 minutes you can reach the Fondamenta of Zattere, where there is the boat to Giardini and Arsenale, Biennale's venues, to the Lido beach, and the boat to/from the airport.

PLEASE: this is not an hotel. When you leave, please let the apartment free from rubbish, dirty dishes, put sheets and towels in the bathroom. The cleaning lady and I will be happy!

Dorsoduro is one of the most beautiful areas of Venice. We have a lot of museums, peace, and some places I love: Campo Santa Margherita, Campo San Barnaba and Zattere. They are ideal for morning walkings, a breakfast in the sun, a spritz on the water, and where to stay with friends in the evening. I also love to explore Santa Marta, a peaceful quarter that has San Nicolò dei Mendicoli, a church unmissable.

In Venice, it just goes on foot! Piazzale Roma, Ca 'Rezzonico, St. Basilio or Zattere are a 10-minute walk.

NO ELEVATOR: A home with a view is a home with stairs: in Venice lifts are really rare, and we have not.

TOURIST TAX:
The Municipality of Venice has established the tourist tax with City Council resolution no.83 of the 23-24 June 2011.
The tax is applied to the overnight stays of non-residents in the Municipality of Venice for a maximum of 5 consecutive nights.
For this accommodation facility the tax amounts to Euros 4 per person per night, kids 10-16 pay the half.

I also love to explore Santa Marta, a peaceful quarter that has San Nicolò dei Mendicoli, a church unmissable.

Sono veneziana, vivo a Venezia, lavoro nel campo dell'arte e della cultura, conosco perfettamente la città anche perchè la descrivo sul mio blog. Ho restaurato l'appartamento che affitto pensando di andare ad abitarci, ma il restauro ha richiesto molto tempo e nel frattempo mia figlia è cresciuta. Così l'appartamento è fatto per viverci: travi a vista, un living ampio, pavimento di legno trattato con olio naturale che invita a camminare scalzi, arredi contemporanei. Ho una bambina piccola, perciò ho voluto pitture naturali e colla biologica per il legno del pavimento. Dai miei genitori, che vivevano nell'arte, ho ereditato un'enorme biblioteca, così la casa è fornita di libri d'arte, architettura, teatro, cinema, storia di Venezia e del Veneto. Io scelgo cibi biologici e per le intolleranze alimentari, quindi se me lo chiedete per tempo posso provvedere a rifornire la dispensa con pasta al Kamut, pane al farro, latte di riso e altro, oppure di indicarvi i negozi più adatti per queste esigenze. Vi aspetto.

In my house you will find books of venetian art and history.
