Where you’ll be

Annagry, Donegal, Ireland

Ranafast is a rural area and one of the few Gaelic speaking areas left in Ireland. It has a rich tradition of song, storytelling and literature. Séamus Ó Grianna or 'Maire' as he was known, lived next door to the cottage, and undoubtedly would have visited the cottage on a regular basis. His list of works include 'Caislean Óir' & 'Nuair a bhí mé Óg'. His brother Seosamh was also a well know writer and his publications include 'Mo Bhealach Féin' & 'An Druma Mór'
The cottage is over one hundred and fifty years old and has been in my husbands family's since it was built. The original cottage was much smaller, probably just one room, but it was added to through the generations.

My husband Gavin and I have travelled all over the world but still put Donegal top of the list of our travel experiences. We are constantly finding new places and hidden gems.

We now have a couple of airb&b properties in Donegal and we hope our travel experiences help us to deliver what guests would expect from their holiday accommodation.
