Small room. One bed. "One of my best ever Air BnB experiences! The house was absolutely stunning, and Tate could not have been a more welcoming or accommodating host. The room was beautiful, and incredibly comfortable. Tate provided an incredible breakfast in the morning, which was delicious and available whenever I was ready. Could not recommend staying here highly enough - tremendous value for money." (My guest Samantha E.)

The space

Your room is private, and your bathroom is semi-private. There is also guest lavatory on the ground level - you can use that too...

I loved staying here and would definitely recommend! Tate is welcoming and friendly and makes a yummy breakfast! My room was a little chilly and she upgraded my room at no cost. Will definitely stay with her again:)

Tate's place felt very cozy and I had the honor of sharing her breakfast with other very kind and personable guests.

Tate is a fantastic host and will immediately make you feel welcome and at home in her beautiful house. The breakfasts are easily the best home cooked meals I’ve had in a very, very long time (really, they beat most restaurant meals too!) and every morning Tate mixed it up and served new delicious dishes. To help me feel even more at home, her cat Crackers stole my heart through daily cuddle sessions. I can’t wait to come back to Detroit again and will for sure stay with Tate!

Tate's historic home reminded me of Eastern Europe, there is art on every wall, thoughtful touches throughout the house, and two very funny cats. Tate is gracious and kind, smart, and educational--the care and attention she puts into breakfasts every morning goes above and beyond. I recommend this stay, esp. if you're interested to get a feel for the real Renaissance occurring in Detroit right now, and if you're able, I suggest leaving an extra cash tip to recognize her efforts.

This was a great stay! I'm sure any complaints any other travelers may have is due to not reading the listing carefully. The breakfast was great and Tate saved me from an embarrassing moment opening the front door (where I couldn't open it). I'm very grateful for all the effort she put into hosting!

I love my family, ballet, art, good cinema, books, good food and living creatures of all kind. I like to have a meaningful conversation or just listen to your stories. My life's motto: "Give more than you can, take less than you need". History is very important to me - architecture, music, art, theatre, people - I see and appreciate history everywhere. When I travel, I travel light. I like to be a hostess for my friends or events.
