Lovingly restored, our cottage is ideally placed to enjoy the good things of unique Hebden Bridge. We are within 5 minute's walk of the town centre, railway station, park and to the artisans at Hebble End Works on the Rochdale Canal.
There is much to delight visitors; discover a wealth of independent shops, cafés and bars as well as a cinema, theatre & art studios. For good reason, Hebden Bridge was voted winner in the ‘Small Market Towns’ category of the Great British High Street awards 2016.
Step into the lounge where there are two comfortable sofas and a dining table to seat four. A flat screen TV is set up for Netflix only and you have wi-fi access. In the well-appointed kitchen you'll find a fan oven, induction hob, microwave, toaster, kettle and fridge. There is a compact ironing board and an iron. The first floor has two double bedrooms and a quirky, contemporary bathroom with a shower over the bath.
I am a painter and the artworks on the walls are either original pieces or giclée prints of my work.
The ground and first floors are available for guests' exclusive use. The attic floor is used by our son when we have no bookings.
Interaction with guests
We are only a phone call/text away should you need help. Emails are also possible but there may be a delay in response time.
Other things to note
The 40" flatscreen in the living room is set up for Netflix only - no live TV. There is an HDMI cable should you wish to connect your laptop.
We provide a basket of wood for the wood burner stove in the living room.
(If you need additional supplies there is a wood merchant by the railway station in Hebden Bridge where you can buy kindling and logs.)
No candles/tea lights are to be used.
Please do not wear outside shoes beyond the kitchen.
The cast iron fireplace in the front bedroom is not connected to the flue and therefore doesn't function.
We would appreciate it if, at the end of your stay, you could place damp towels in the bath. Thanks.
Check in is anytime after 3pm and before 9pm. A flexible check out time may be possible but this is dependent upon following bookings or other commitments. Any damage is to be reported immediately. Please consider our neighbours and keep noise to a minimum in the early morning and after 10 pm. No smoking in any part of the house, if you wish to smoke please use the back garden.
