Ron and Sharon were so great and accommodating. It was absolutely breathtaking and secluded and just an incredible place to just get away from it all. If you're looking for something beautiful and away from it all, this is the place. We will definitely be back.

100% wonderful and 1 of a kind. The cottage is a rare combination of immaculate yet completely livable... everything was in its place, making our stay welcoming, comfortable, and restful. The location is within 15-20 minutes of lots of great options in both town and nature. Sharon and Ron were great to interact with and were super responsive when we had an unexpected situation unrelated to their cottage. Plenty of space for our family of four (two college students and their two middle aged parents), could very easily accommodate six, or more. Recommend without hesitation!

This was a perfect place to unwind in the mountains. It was so close to the Blue Ridge Parkway, yet away from the hustle and bustle. Ron and Sharon have thought of everything one will need to have a great stay. They have also put together a nice info packet to help get around and see nearby places. We highly recommend this place.

Ron and Sharon are great hosts! They met us at the cottage and showed everything! We wanted to roast marshmallows, and they let us make a fire on their property. We had an awesome stay! I would recommend this place to everyone!

Ron And Sharon User ProfileRon And Sharon is a superhost.

We met, married and raised our 3 children in Maryland. It was always a big deal for us to visit Dad (Pop-Pop) in the beautiful mountains of North Carolina. The old-fashioned cottage perched on the hill was a welcomed sight. The kids especially liked the sloping ceilings and the nooks and crannies of the upstairs. Sitting on the front porch and listening to the rushing creek below is about as refreshing as it gets.

We have since retired and moved to Ashe County as permanent residents. It's been a wonderful blessing leaving the hustle and bustle for the benefits of living in a small town community. The kids still love visiting, now with our 6 grandchildren. The old house has been completely renovated but retains its old-fashioned charm. Now we'd like to share it with you.
