Murphy's landing was an amazing experience, such a beautiful view and what an amazing setting. The BBQ was very handy and the Broadband and Netflix was great for nighttime viewing. I would highly reccomend Murphy's landing to anyone planning on visiting Newfoundland.

Beautiful setting. Great getaway space. All the comforts of home in a small package. If you are looking for a home base from which to hike, kayak, canoe, and bird watch on the Avalon peninsula this is the place. St John's city life is close enough to enjoy which is a nice change of pace when you want it. Lots of opportunity to learn about world, national, and local history. Friendly and helpful people. Great way to experience Newfoundland if you have a spirit of adventure. The weather is constantly changing here so be prepared for sun, rain, and wind every day. Good shoes and good rain gear will insure a fabulous visit to this area in Newfoundland. The cottage kitchen is well equipped and the appliances all work well. Plan to grocery shop and eat in most nights. Tors Cove is a rural fishing community so there is limited access to fine dining.

Incredible location with a view of the lake in front of you. The house has all the modern amenities and location couldn't be better when it comes to privacy and quietness - when you want to get away from it all and just relax, and have it as a base for exploring Newfoundland. We loved staying there. We would love to come back!

This property is perfect location and set up for those looking to travel around NFLD. We traveled here with our four month old child and was in a great spot for taking day trips to other parts of the island. With only an hour from the airport it worked out great. Perfect little cottage and great amenities...thanks to our great host for making our trip memorable......

Our family loved staying at Murphy's Landing in Tors Cove. This is a special part of the world and we enjoyed exploring the pond, the East Coast Trail (saw two moose!), and the close proximity to St. John's. The house itself has great natural light and everything we could ask for and more. Staying in August gave us a chance to join in the "puffin patrol" of nearby Witless Bay, which was a real treat.

Murphy's Landing is amazing. Beautiful clean little cottage that surpassed our expectations. They have a fully equipped kitchen and the space is so bright with huge windows that overlook the lake. The space was super clean and cozy, and honestly everything we could possibly need during our stay.

My wife and I are both international teachers and we have two children ages 8 and 11. We appreciate the outdoors and healthy living. Our family lives by the motto: Live for today and dream about tomorrow.
