"We loved our stay!....Located in the heart of Dingle we were never more than a minutes walk from good food or live music, and because our host runs the local info/arts paper, he knew everything that was going on in town.... and the bed was so comfy! Definitely would recommend! (Part of guest review)

We offer our guests a very comfortable stay in a stylish & luxurious large townhouse in the centre of Dingle.

This is a unique property - a beautifully renovated 200 year old town house.

The space

This is a beautiful property.

You will love the ambience, the outdoors space, the neighbourhood, the comfy bed, the light... This luxurious townhouse is located on a quiet street in the centre of Dingle.

As well as beautiful bedrooms; a large light filled open plan dining / living room opens out onto a patio area and a very large garden. The garden is completely enclosed by the original stone walls - creating a private space in the centre of town - and backs onto the Díseart chapel & grounds. Indeed the chapel's famous Harry Clarke windows overlook the bottom of the garden.

There are 4 en-suite rooms in total - the rear 2 have harbour views in the distance & the front rooms are large delux superking rooms.

This is the perfect place to stay in Dingle.

Guest access

You can have breakfast & relax in the large open plan living / dining room.
This light filled room opens out onto a patio area and a very large garden.

Interaction with guests

We are always delighted to show off Dingle town and the surrounding areas - it's a very beautiful & special place. We will be more than happy to help with suggestions of places to visit, good restaurants etc. We run a local information & cultural magazine - so please do ask!

Other things to note

This property is one of the oldest in Dingle. It is approximately 200 years old and in its time was considered one of the most impressive homes in the town.

The property has an interesting past.... As well as once being the magistrate’s home, it belonged to a lady called Clarisss Hussey, a member of a local wealthy land-owning family. In 1860 Clarissa, a pious Catholic, donated money to build the iconic church in Dingle - St. Mary's. Clarissa is buried under the floor of the church - you can see her grave marked by a plaque on either wall at the front.

This is an environmentally friendly property. A wood pellet stove creates a cosy atmosphere in the open plan living / dining area. This along with a thermodynamic system provides plenty of hot water and heating. We also make every effort to use natural cleaning products throughout the house.

Fantastic location right in the centre of Dingle and lovely spacious room. Great communication both before and during our stay. Our hosts couldn't do enough for us. Fab breakfast too. We'll be back on our next visit to Dingle.

We were thrilled with our stay! The room was well appointed, extremely comfortable with a super comfy king bed and fluffy down blanket. Windows offered a cool breeze looking over the bustling goat street (which was quickly quiet at bedtime). Lorcan was engaging, helpful and gave great dining recommendations. Mary was a true standout! She prepared our breakfasts (the best we've had in Ireland), was warm, friendly and even provided great route planning advise. We couldn't be happier with our stay.

We are honored and happy to send this heartfelt recommendation, for this was an exceptionally positive lodging experience. Our initial text messages with Susan were very helpful and friendly, making us feel welcome even before arriving in Dingle. The building itself is lovely with it's original thick walls-- recently renovated, its entrance and hallways and breakfast annex are all elegant and freshly painted. Our room was spacious, impeccable and designed with talent --something like an Irish version of the Hamptons. Breakfasts were delicious. The food was cooked in accordance with our personal wishes each morning, service was five-star. In addition, the location is perfect, just steps away from the center of town and all the stores, cafes and pubs, but up the hill enough to be quiet and peaceful. For the five days we stayed there, we felt at home. By far, our best airbnb experience to date.

This was a wonderful place. We felt very welcome here and Lorcan was great in recommending us places to eat and things to do. Our stay was very comfortable and one of our favorites on a ten day trip. I hope we find ourselves in Dingle again so we can return to DGT. Will certainly recommend to others.

We had such a wonderful time here...probably one of our most comfortable Airbnb's! Susan & Lorcan could not be nicer and more helpful! And Mary's breakfasts are absolutely amazing! Location is perfect for exploring Dingle's shops, pubs, music & nightlife. This is a great launching place for the Slea Head Drive - not to be missed! Sad to leave our lovely room at Susan's place, but we will definitely be back with family & friends!!
