I enjoyed every season here, autumn leaves, summer gardening, roasting marshmallows, fishing or just relaxing on the bench swing with a home-made peanut butter and strawberry jam on homemade bread watching many a sunset on the river. Even the winters with a lovely snowfall on the river trees and the smell of chocolate chip cookies in the oven. This home belonged to a great aunt who passed it on to my grandmother. My grandparents who lived in this cottage believed in the simple way of gardening, fishing, and entertaining friends camping and playing in folk guitar groups. Grandmother sewed WWII uniforms then later for the local police and fire dept. Grandfather was the building superintendent on many of the structures such as the library and convocation center and restoration of the dome at Notre Dame University. I am now a 3rd generation contractor and also promote Americana crafts people in my own design business in Los Angeles. Thank you for choosing our river cottage home. It means a lot to our family that we can share in its river sunsets and home grown happiness with you too.
