My home is close to parks and art and culture. You’ll love my place because of the location and the people. My home is good for couples, solo adventurers, business travelers, and furry friends (pets). Close to Amish Country, Notre Dame - 30 miles, museums, community theaters, antique malls, and much more.

The space

Main floor bedroom #1 has a foam, queen sized mattress. It is a fully furnished bedroom with an antique dresser, lamps, ceiling fan, white noise fan, alarm clock, and closet space. Bathroom is next door. Bedroom #2 is on the main floor also. This room has a twin bed with a dresser, nightstand, lamp, and closet space.

Guest access

There is a private family room in the basement for game playing, TV watching, or visiting. Kitchen privileges, laundry room available, and quiet shaded patio with a grill, small fish pond and fountain nearby. Close to the 80/90 Toll road, US 20 Bypass, and CR 17 which connects to both highways.

Other things to note

Due to a lot of antique wood furniture, please be sure to use coasters on ALL furniture. Thank you.
Please don't feed my dog, Gracie, any human food.
Please make sure your tires are on the concrete drive as there are sprinkler heads in the grass along both sides.
Please keep your key on you and use your key to lock the front door whenever you leave. I generally use the garage door to come and go, so am not aware of an unlocked door if you left and assumed I would lock it behind you. Thank you.

I stayed two nights with my nephew as we went to the Notre Dame vs USC football game. We arrived at 11:30 pm on the first night and 12:30am on the next night after the game. Donna was very accommodating to our arrival times. Since we were on the go early each morning we did not take advantage of Donna's hospitality. I plan to go to another game next and hopefully Donna's place would be available.

I barely heard you each morning. You were wonderful guests, Alan, and I hope you do come back with your wife the next time. I would love to meet her.

We enjoyed our conversation with Donna before she left for the evening. Her dog Gracie got along well with both our dog and cat. My wife and I found our bed to be comfortable, and our grandson enjoyed his room downstairs.

I work in the school system so am generally gone days when school is in session. Evenings are random - being home or not.

About Donna

I am a friendly, active lady that loves to share my county and state with others. I am an avid garage saler and had an antique booth in the past. I love to hunt for bargains and items for my home. I have a Bichon Frise that loves people. We will both welcome you to our home! Not too close to Notre Dame, but close to main roads that will get you there! Close to Amish country, Shipshewana Flea Market (one of the largest in the USA), and art, train, RV, Studebaker, and house museums. There are also two community theaters close by and the closest one - in Bristol - has received the top awards in Indiana! I love to travel anywhere, but especially places with beaches, or out West. I traveled to Italy for the first time this year - it was wonderful. I love historical fiction novels and movies. I enjoy going to local plays and musicals, local festivals, historical reenactments, and more. I am a welcoming, laid back hostess. I will show you where everything is and let you help yourself if I am not here. Please, make yourself to home!
