Splendid city-centre apartment. This freshly renovated Victorian flat is situated in Edinburgh's vibrant East End. You will be within 10 minutes walk of Holyrood Palace, the Scottish Parliament, the Royal Mile and Princes Street. There are lots of great shops and cafes right outside, and excellent access to bus routes.
The apartment is on the first floor of a traditional tenement block. It has just been completely renovated (2016) with newly fitted kitchen, new shower room, and separate toilet and a new central heating system.
The large and bright front room looks out to a church. It overlooks lively Easter Road with views up London Road. This is the main living space, and includes kitchen area, dining table, sofa-bed. The kitchen is well-equipped, and there is a television and a bluetooth DAB radio you can use for entertainment.
Set to the rear of the property away from the bustle of the city the bedroom offers peace and quiet, despite the central location. There is a shower room and a separate toilet.
For people travelling with infants, there is a travel cot and high chair. You will need to bring your own linen for the cot.
The flat is equipped with an iron, ironing board and hairdryer.
Guest will have full access to the flat, which includes the living room and kitchen space, all kitchen utilities, the bedroom, shower and toilet.
Interaction with guests
I will arrange for guests to be met at the apartment and I will also be available to answer to all their questions before and during their stay. If I'm not available, then I'll have someone else available.
Other things to note
The bedroom is to the back of the property and so very quiet. However, if you also want to use the sofa bed, it is to the front, so there may be a bit of traffic noise from the street. You may want to pack ear plugs if you are a light sleeper!
From Aug 10 - 27, 2018 the minimum stay is 5 nights.
I'm a busy mum who loves travelling. I've enjoyed lots of self-catering holidays myself, in many brilliant properties (and occasionally cursed the lack of a bread knife or insufficient numbers of cups). We have just started doing holiday lets in 2017 with a flat we bought and completely renovated. We have equipped it based on what we like to see when we travel - hopefully we've thought of everything, but appreciate any feedback if there's anything you think is missing. Very much enjoying the experience so far!
I'm lucky enough to be able to say Edinburgh is my home town, and I'm really looking forward to welcoming guests from all over the world to share our beautiful city.
