Our cottage is in pretty grounds of our 18C house with views of Snowdonia; short walk to Menai Straits, Sea Zoo, Foel Farm, Plas Newydd (NT); 10 mins drive from Menai Bridge; great restaurants; amazing beaches, near Llandwyn Island. Private outdoor space next to orchard & BBQ area. Good for couple or family of 4 (1 gallery bedroom). Dogs welcome if happy for them to sleep in car but sadly no access to cottage. Basic kitchen. If 2 people require separate beds, pls book for 3 (extra bedding)

The space

White-washed stone walls, log burner, wooden bed deck (gallery with paddle-stairs access), two comfy double beds (ground floor pull-out day bed - kingsize and comfy). Open plan with separate shower room. Kitchen is basic, with a microwave, single hotplate, kettle, fridge, toaster, access to slow cooker on request...
PLEASE NOTE: If you are 2 people who require the use of both beds, please book for 3 people minimum to allow for the extra bed linen and making up beds etc. Thanks!

Guest access

There's access to a parking area within the grounds of the house, a patio and BBQ area next to the orchard outside the cottage, views across the main house's garden, access to the field beyond the orchard for general running about...

Interaction with guests

We may not be there 24/7 ourselves but will have a number of people who know the cottage well on hand who live a few doors away, and we are always contactable. We'd be very happy to share information with you about the best pubs - locally and over the island (we are very familiar with some other areas of the island and Snowdonia), restaurants, the best beaches, walks, mountain routes, bike rides, access to arts centres, places to find mussels etc - as much as we know, we will share! We've been known to share the odd glass unless people are here to escape everyone! Equally, can be 'here but not here'.

Other things to note

The cottage is set in a very relaxing space; we are a little haven behind a private wall, but within very close reach to some stunning places with more going on, should you need it.

NB If you are 2 people who require the use of both beds, please book for 3 people minimum to allow for the extra bed linen and making up beds etc. Thanks!

We're dog lovers, so if you want to bring your dog and are happy with it sleeping in your car, then this is fine with us. The cottage is really small and can't really cope with dogs and wear and tear / fur, and a few people have been allergic, despite industrious cleaning! We also have a free roaming chicken - worth knowing if your dog has a taste for them.. :) Thanks for understanding.

The cottage was everything it promised to be and truly unique. We had a lovely break and Rosie is the perfect host with lots of local knowledge to really make the most of exploring the Island and beyond.

Super Stay! Rosie and Phil are fabulous hosts and the Cottage is perfect for a relaxing and cosy break. The garden is beautiful, the area is stunning but the best bit is the warm welcome and all the lovely touches in the Cottage. Thank you!

We really enjoyed our stay at this quirky little cottage. Stayed for my daughter's 1st Birthday and whilst the cottage is small, it was just perfect for the three of us. Rosie and her family were very welcoming and the lovely little extra touches of bread, jam, orange juice, milk and biscuits made us feel at home. The location is perfect to explore Anglesey. Would wholeheartedly recommend this property. It would have been very romantic if we hadn't had a one year old with us!

Phil, Rosie & Maddie are great hosts. Very warm and welcoming. Great communication before we arrived and gave great tips during our stay. The pictures dont do the cottage justice it's so picturesque and quiet exactly what we were looking for. Only 5 mins drive to the beaches and not too far from some great food. Will definately be recommending to family and friends

This cottage is absolutely adorable and Rosie couldn't be more welcoming and friendly. It is a relaxing, gorgeous atmosphere and despite it being a small cottage, we had absolutely everything that we needed. An excellent place to stay!

We've normally got people wandering around and have a busy household as we love having friends and family over, and meeting new lots... Phil windsurfs whenever he can; when there's no wind, we're into walking, climbing, cycling, music, photography, food, 2 dogs and chicken, renovating, bad gardening, all-things-dyslexia-related; we've lived in and traveled around places from Tanzania to Chile to Brighton to Hong Kong, U.S... We also have 6 yr and 16 year-old girls between us to keep us busy. We're happy to be around for advice on eating, mountain walks, beaches, pubs etc. The cottage can be a private space with your own patio and BBQ area, but it's set within a big garden and we're often about if we can be useful :) After thought and trialing, we've listed it now as no dogs: however, we're happy to have dogs if you are OK to keep them overnight in the car, and not let them in the cottage. More info in the 'house rules' bit! Thanks :)
