Bedroom was clean, albeit a bit small but the bed was quite comfortable and got some decent sleep between exploring Aran Islands and a little of Galway. Didn't have too much interaction with hosts but when we did, it was pleasant and Claire was very nice and helpful in getting me sorted for my stay and helped me get an issue sorted finding an electronics store. Nice place for Galway. A little outside the city but within walking distance I think (I had a car so didn't walk it). Recommend.

In the picture of the airbnb a place of the house which I was not allowded to use is shown. I also underline that the price is too high, we should get a private bathroom for this. In addition the room is very small, you can only sleep there, there is only the bed+ dressing table and wardarobe. There is no chair, no desk. The other room Where the gust is allowed to stay only has a small sofa and a TV. So not really suiteble, unless you became close friend of the guest next to you! I don't recommend this place to bussiness or professional travellers.

Stefania, I am surprised and shocked to read your negative review, especially as on your last day here you were telling me what a spacious and beautiful home I have. I know you were upset that you could not use the guest lounge for a two hour English lesson with your tutor every day, but as I explained to ye I didn't feel it would be fair to my other guest not to have access to the lounge while you were having your lesson. I think your review if unfair and inaccurate. The bedroom is actually a large single room. Had you said you needed a desk and chair I would have supplied them for you. The guests TV lounge is 12' x 15' which I would think is large especially as the maximum number of guests we have is three at any one time. With regard to your comment that the room is too expensive for a shared bathroom, you knew a month before you arrived that the bathroom was shared with one other bedroom. This gave you plenty of time to find alternative accommodation, should you have wished, although I don't think you would find a cheaper private room in Salthill in August. I have no idea what room you are referring to that you were not allowed to use. You had breakfast each day in the kitchen/dining room/conservatory, and unlimited use of the TV lounge, there are no other rooms shown in the photos. I am sorry you didn't enjoy your stay, I just wish you had told me and I would have done my best to make things better for you.

My stay at Eimer and Claire's house went very smoothly. In fact I was dealing with Claire - I didn't meet Eimear. Claire was friendly and helpful. eg happy to book a taxi for me. All was as expected in terms of it being a lovely clean room and the house is in a very quiet location - though I hadn't realised I would be sharing a bathroom with another guest. It didn't prove to be a problem but felt it was worth mentioning in case others were particularly keen to have a private bathroom. Having read other people's reviews more thoroughly, I see now that one guest said she was pleased to have sole use of the bathroom for most of her stay....this was for long stay of about a month I think....I hadn't realised that there were 2 bedrooms available for airbnb guests. Mine was a rather last minute booking so I probably didn't read the reviews that carefully - I was delighted that there was a vacancy! So thankyou Claire/Eimear. And although more of a cat person - I have to say Charlie is a very sweet dog :)

A beautiful house in fair Salthill! Claire was most welcoming and friendly, the room well furnished, tidy and quiet. It was a ideal place for the Arts Festival, as the center is easily reached by a 30-min walk or by bus, the nice pubs around the Small Crane are but 20 min away. Still you stay in a quiet place to relax on the evening. I was very happy to stay at this place!
