Our Isle Adilla is situated next to The Old Excise House at Laphroaig, on the south coast of Islay with fantastic sea views. The three distilleries coastal path is a few steps away and runs between the village of Port Ellen and Ardbeg. Isle Adilla Cabin is made in Scotland and combines unique outdoors, small space living with a high spec finish. The cabin is ideal for couples, single & business travellers.

The space

Isle Adilla is small space living with high tech spec. The Eco cabin is made by Armadilla in Scotland. There is underfloor heating, colour changing Led lights, heated towel rail, iPod docking station with built in speakers. The wet room with toilet and shower is small but a powerful and modern shower.
Kitchenette area has sink, kettle, fridge, small microwave and toaster. Outside there is a table and chairs. We provide tea, coffee, biscuits and a welcome pack to help you prepare your own breakfast. There is a Co-operative supermarket in Port Ellen and Bowmore. Cabin does not have room to store large hard suitcases.

Guest access

The Isle Adilla has a gated outside space with table and chairs. The Isle Adilla is a self catering cabin that is for sole use of the guests.

Interaction with guests

The owners live in the house next to the Isle Adilla. Guests will be met on arrival and available if any problems or information required.

Other things to note

It is easy to walk to Port Ellen or the distilleries on the south coast. Buses are limited but Bowmore and further afield can be reached by bus. To discover the whole island car hire or taxi is necessary. It is essential to book car ferry crossing, taxi collection or hire cars in advance. The cabin is small space living and not suited to large hard case suitcases.
Distillery tours can get heavily booked in advance, so it is advisable to book before you arrive.

Fabulous stay on Islay! The cabin was perfectly equipped for our few nights; clean, comfortable, light, warm. Emma's homemade bread on arrival scrumptious and the super powerful hot shower the icing on the cake. Ron and Emma were so helpful from the moment we booked (amazing communication), very warm welcome, lots of tips and personal recommendations. Can't wait to visit again. Highly recommended!!

Absolutely fantastic! We loved staying in this tiny home - the location could not be beat - an easy walk up a beautiful path to both Port Ellen and the 3 Port Ellen distilleries. Ron gave us a lot of tips for a wonderful stay - ALL of them we took! Could not recommend this enough!

Best place to stay on the island. Very close to the airport/ferry terminal. You can walk to 3 of the distilleries and right into port Ellen for dinner. I highly recommend the Sea Star. The view from this tiny house is breath taking no matter what way you look. We will defiantly be back to the island and Rons pod.

My wife and I loved our stay at Ron and Emma's eco-cabin. Everything was as advertised and I can't overstate just how convenient the location is. It's just a quick drive from the cabin into the town of Port Ellen for meals or a nice walk (or drive if you prefer) to Laphroaig, Lagavulin, and Ardbeg distilleries. I will absolutely keep them in mind the next time I'm planning a trip to Islay.
