Little cottage close to Glastonbury Tor, with great views, in the midst of beautiful countryside, next to our home. It's a self contained, cosy little place, in simple contemporary style. The bedroom has french windows and a wooden balcony with uninterrupted views of Glastonbury Tor and the surrounding countryside. Enjoy the peace and quiet. Good for couples and solo adventurers.

The space

The front door of the cottage (tall folk watch your heads!) opens straight into a large open plan split level room, with sitting room and kitchen/dining area, plus a spacious toilet and shower room. Stairs lead to a large, light and airy double bedroom upstairs. with french windows to a large balcony area with wooden balustrade, looking out to a panoramic country view over fields, with Glastonbury Tor in the distance. The host's house is close to the cottage but separate.

Guest access

Rental is for the entire cottage. Guests can feel free to roam around the garden, which is currently in mid renovation. The house name is Northfields.

Interaction with guests

Always happy to help. If we're not at home, we're contactable on mobile

Other things to note

The stairs are fairly steep, although there is a solid hand rail, but they would present a challenge for anyone who has mobility issues or for young children.
The wood burner would present a potential hazard for youngsters also.

It is a spacious, elegant, self contained unit with everything you need for a perfect stay. The ambiance is lovely and the view of Glastonbury Tor from your balcony is the cherry on the cake. Felicity is a gracious and friendly host who makes you feel at home. All this and badgers too! ;) Highly recommended.

The cottage is lovely, just as the pictures and listing describe. Felicity and her husband were very welcoming and provided all the essentials and a few extras as well. The cottage is in a great location perfect for exploring the area.

Amazing little cottage. Set in beautiful gardens of the main house. Felicity and her partner were so welcoming and friendly. View of Glastonbury tor was beautiful, a walk up there for sunset (or sunrise!) is very much recommended. Amazingly beautiful and quirky part of the country. enjoyed drinks at The Sheppy inn which is such beautifully creative bar/restaurant. And delicious big pub grub in olde worldie pub The Halfway House. Experiencing the white springs healing water at the bottom of glastonbury tor hill was amazing too. House was cosy and clean and comfortable. Lovely to have the balcony area.

A wonderful stay, tuck away in the beautiful Somerset countryside. The cottage is exactly as described, cosy, with all the essentials and more. Felicity was a friendly, accommodating and helpful host who had houghtfully left us a very generous welcome back. The cottage is very picturesque on the outside, covered in the sweet scent of jasmine but with a modern and practical twist on the inside. I loved sitting early in the morning on the upstairs balcony looking out across the fields, sipping my coffee. I would not hesitate to recommend the cottage if you were looking to explore, this part of Somerset with Glastonbury, cheddar and Street all on your doorstep. I will definitely be returning to the cottage and look forward to using the log burner next time when the weather is cooler.

We had a lovely second visit to our favourite Cute Cottage. Our trip was graced with glorious weather & spectacular sunsets lit up the sky behind Glastonbury Tor in the distance. What's not to like?!
