Overdale Cottage is in a peaceful beautiful location overlooking the village of Garrigill. The views are fabulous - surrounded by fields of grazing sheep and lambs. There are numerous lovely walks from the doorstep. The cottage is very old and full of character, plenty of spider…

This is a great place for a weekend of walking and relaxing. The views are marvellous and there are lots of great walks. We were stuck in the snow so ended up staying an extra night and were very pleased to be!

Absolutely stunning location with amazing views. Wasn't sure how we would get on with no internet or TV but it was lovely to spend time with friends playing board games and the beautiful surroundings. Rob was great at keeping in touch and left lots of info on local walks to make …

The cottage is very well equipped and a lovely place to stay. Everything went smoothly and Rob was always quick to respond to any queries we had. The area is beautiful and the village pub was fun and welcoming on boxing day.

Lovely cottage in an amazing location. Brilliant walks in the local area and lots of maps available to plan your routes. Cottage was clean and tidy and the wood burning stove was a great feature. Definitely worth a trip

Response from Rob:
Thanks for the feedback Austin. Furniture issues you raised will be sorted this month. We're used to the cracks in the floorboards but appreciate it was not what you expected and will get these fixed, though not eliminated, (the cottage is 200 years old). It's our decision not to have shower curtain over the bath, as it makes the bathroom look cluttered. Not sure if we agree regarding the carpet but will check when we are up later this week and replace if needed. rob

We enjoyed our week and had a fabulous time, relaxing in cottage and strolling around the local countryside. The views from the cottage are spectacular come rain or shine.
