Cathy's house is wonderful, as is her and her husband's hospitality. We thoroughly enjoyed our time and wish we could have stayed longer! Warm fires, cosy with enough space, clean and tidy. Easy to get to Galway City by car. Easy access to Connemara and south to the Burren and Cliffs of Moher. 100% recommend to stay here.

Cathy's cottage was very beautiful and fully equipped with everything needed for a great stay. The cottage is spacious yet gives off a warm feeling. Cathy and her husband were very willing to help with anything that was needed during our stay.

Cathys cottage was absolutely beautiful. She was an incredible host. She met us personally to ensure we made it to the cottage and even left biscuits, jam, milk and toast for breakfast. She was available to talk if we needed anything and she showed us around and how everything works. I'm already trying to make plans to come back. Great retreat for a relaxing quiet honeymoon.

Cathy has a well written collection of local history and local attractions! All her tips and suggestions of getting around were accurate and helpful for getting around Galway . Her cottage is easy access into Galway and onto major highways for travel plus the cottage is private and quiet on a residential street. The cottage is beautifully restored with all appliances . (i.e. Washer, dryer, hairdryers, all kitchen appliances). The rooms were beautifully furnished and clean. It holds 2 full bathrooms for each bedroom ! A lovely loft sitting area and books ! We arrived from our long day to a warm fire in the wood stove , scones and tea! She even had fresh butter, jam and milk! Cathy is a very friendly and warm host and is very knowledgeable to assist your travels in Ireland. She is very accessible and very timely on responding to messages ! We also had all the privacy we needed! We felt very relaxed and comfortable staying here! We highly recommend the cottage and will definitely stay here again to see all the things we didn't have a chance to see during this trip !

If you are looking for a charming getaway that is close to Galway, Giles Cottage is a great gem. We were greeted by Cathy upon arrival with the room nice and warm with homemade jelly awaiting us. The beds were wonderful and it was great to have two full bathrooms. Close to the city and the Cliffs of Mohr. A lovely castle right down the road as well. We were very happy with our stay and appreciated Cathy's attentiveness to make sure we were comfortable. Highly recommend this space and looking forward to coming back!

We absolutely loved Cathy's cottage! It was the ideal, cozy place to start our vacation in Ireland, and she had the fore going for us when we arrived. The goodies were a welcome touch, and the place was spotless (and I'm quite fussy!) We had a car and it was easy to get to the nearby grocery, and Galway wax just 5 mins away. Highly recommend!

Cathy and Martin were incredible hosts. They went above and beyond, having homemade jams, milk, and bread in the fridge when we arrive and kindly offering to start a fire for us the evenings we were there. The cottage was delightful with comfy beds, bath amenities, and plenty of kitchen supplies to cook breakfast and dinner. It was so clean and beautifully decorated we couldn't have asked for a better place to spend our Christmas holiday. The location of the cottage is perfect for exploring Galway with the city center less than 15 minutes away and less than 90 minutes from Connemara National Park and the Cliffs of Moher. I would recommend the cottage for anyone looking for a quiet getaway in Galway.
