The space

This two-bedroomed cottage is thought to have been the buttery and servant's sleeping quarters for The Grove, a Grade II listed farmhouse with Tudor origins. Connected to the main house, but with its own private entrance, the Buttery has been sensitively refurbished, bringing comfort to this historic building while retaining many original features.
Booton, with its wonderful church, is a tiny village a couple of miles from the historic market town of Reepham. This rural location is an idyllic refuge. It is a great base for exploring some of the fine historic houses in the area, such as Blickling and Mannington. Norwich is also less than half an hour away, and the beautiful Norfolk coast curves around us. There are lovely countryside walks in every direction, and fabulous cycling opportunities.
Living Room
The living/dining room, with the original fireplace and floor, provides a place to snuggle in and review the day's adventures. It has an open fire, with additional heating provided by the biomass boiler. There is a TV hidden in a cupboard. A dining table by the window provides space for up to six people to sit around.
The kitchen is equipped with everything you might need to rustle up a delicious meal, including a new oven with induction hob. There is also a dishwasher and washer-dryer. The original glazed butler’s cupboard contains a wide range of crockery, etc.
Please note that the staircase is steep (it does have bannisters on both sides, and a door at the bottom) and you have to duck your head on your way to the master bedroom!
The bathroom has a bath and shower cubicle, it also has a heated towel rail. Like all of the upstairs room, there is lovely view onto the walled kitchen garden below.
West bedroom
This spacious double-aspect bedroom with exposed beams has a double bed, chest of drawers and comfy chair. Good quality bedding and towels are provided.
East bedroom
This lovely bedroom has both a double bed and single bed, together with chest of drawers and hanging space provided in the built in cupboard. Again, double-aspect, and the easterly window has views of some of the beautiful trees in the grounds. Good quality bedding and towels are provided.
The setting of the Grove is one of its real charms, and guests are welcome to enjoy a walk around the grounds. The west garden is set aside for guests to sit outside and enjoy the evening sun. Outdoor chairs and a table are provided. There is ample parking. We can provide a shed for you to store bikes etc.

Emily is such a lovely lady. Really welcoming on arrival, and helpful throughout. The house is like something from a design magazine - really stunning. Rob and I would highly recommend.

The cottage is in a peaceful, rural area a couple of miles from Reepham, where there are a couple of great eating places. It was a cosy and comfortable space for 4 adults with plenty of kitchen facilities to cook with. Great shower and comfy beds. Very handy being able to take our dog with us and the kitchen can be closed off, so ideal to keep the dog in at night time .

A delightful cottage set in a peaceful rural area which is exactly what we wanted. We had a very comfortable stay. Well equipped kitchen and comfy beds. Emily very kindly left us an homemade apple cake and there were little vases of flowers decorating most rooms which was a lovely touch.

Emily and Gus Lamb fell in love with this this near-derelict farmhouse in 2014, and set about restoring it to something like its former self. It is now a family home for their children Daisy and Arthur, and their very friendly cocker spaniel Patty.
