Keiran is really friendly and informative, he told me much about Cork's history and culture and made great suggestions about what I could do while in the area. His house is in a fantastic location a short walk from the city centre and is in an old historic area of Cork. The streets are quaint and narrow so no traffic noise at night and despite the narrow streets, parking near his house does not seem to be a problem. A hop-on hop-off tour bus stops at the nearby Buttermarket. I didn't do the tour but it sounds interesting. Kieran's house is quaint and old and has been well modernised to keep its old-world charm. Outside is a relaxing courtyard garden. The bed is very comfortable and the room is a decent size for a single person. The exterior has recently been painted, so look for a pink house, not a purple one! The best things about the house? The location and the host.

Where to start with my stay with Kieran - what a nice time. This was my best stay in Ireland and among the top Airbnb experiences I've ever had. He's got a wonderful (freshly painted!) unique house with clean and cozy accommodations and tasty breakfast provided. Kieran himself is a great fellow who is easy to talk to and has a tremendous depth of the knowledge regarding Cork and Ireland overall. You won't regret staying here so go ahead and book now!

This is a lovely place to stay. Kieran and Mary are warm, welcoming, and a wealth of knowledge. The home is very comfortable and clean, and the breakfasts are absolutely delicious. The location is excellent: just a stroll away from anything you could wish to see in Cork. I only wish I'd had more time here.

Kieran was not only a tremendously informative and cordial host, but a lovely person to speak with. His house was incredibly warm and welcoming. He'd left out breakfast and strong coffee every morning for me, and helped me land right before an incredibly intensive science/business programme. Tremendously helpful and 'soft' landing, considering 38 hours of travel no sleep prior to arrival. if you're traveling, in a bind, need a last minute place to stay, or generally want a pleasant experience in Cork, I HIGHLY recommend staying with Kieran.

Kieran is a friendly and well organised host. His place is clean, warm and comfortable. I really appreciate his efforts to help me find my way around and his recommendations for places to eat and see. I would definitely consider staying again on another visit to Cork.

I have done a lot of travelling in the past, including a cycle tour from Belfast to Venice. A life member of An Oige, the Irish Young Hostelling organisation. I love the Irish coast landscape, especially Sheep's Head in West Cork. Photography is one of my passions. Love welcoming guests, giving them information to enhance their visit and sometimes bringing on tour around Cork city and county.
