My place is close to the city centre, parks, art and culture, and great views. You will love the of the comfy bed and the cosiness. Guests remark on how peaceful the location is considering it is just a 5 minute walk from the centre of Ireland's second city. They report great sleeps! The bathroom ajoins and is for guests private use, effectively ensuite. Downtown is a short walk though the narrow lanes of Shandon. A short walk from the railway station and bus terminal. City bus No. 202.

The space

At 15 Chapel Street, you are in the heart of Cork. Galleries, museums, pubs and restaurants are very near. We organise walking tours of the city, cycling trips or private car tours of the county, west and east for people interesting in getting a close up insight into Irish life.

Guest access

Garden and conservatory available to guests in summer for relaxation and long breakfasts, listening to the bells of Saint Annes ringing the quarter hours.

Kieran is a terrific host! Extremely accommodating and friendly, which made my stay comfortable and memorable. The house has a wonderful character about it and is so close to town. I appreciated the many tips and facts that Kieran shared about the city, along with a Nespresso coffee to start my mornings in Cork ☺️

I have done a lot of travelling in the past, including a cycle tour from Belfast to Venice. A life member of An Oige, the Irish Young Hostelling organisation. I love the Irish coast landscape, especially Sheep's Head in West Cork. Photography is one of my passions. Love welcoming guests, giving them information to enhance their visit and sometimes bringing on tour around Cork city and county.
