We loved our first trip to DC and Nancys place is perfect to see all the sites. Everything is within walking distance. It is located really close to Union Station. We found great restaurants in the neighbourhood also. Checking in and out was really easy and added to the pleasantness of our trip. My friend even left a shirt behind and Nancy is mailing it back to her. You couldn't ask for better than that.

Depending upon your need, this could be a great rental for you. Here are some of the things we enjoyed: 1. Nancy--great host, communicator, all around interesting person. We felt very welcome. 2. Location--easy walk to Union Station and the metro, H St., the H St. Trolley, the buses. Close to great restaurants, coffee shops, Whole Foods, Giant. Super, super convenient. 3. Quiet street considering how close it is to everything. Just one block away from the bustling H St., but you'd never know it. 4. Parking--Nancy got us a residential parking permit for our stay. We couldn't always find a space on the same block, but we never had to park more than one or two blocks away. That's pretty good for DC. 5. Great home base for exploring DC Some things to consider before you book: 1. It's on the small side for two people. Can manage, but you'll bump into each other a few times. It has a small kitchen, but has everything you might need 2. It's a basement unit, so if high ceilings and lots of natural light are important to you, you probably want to book another unit 3. It's not the kind of place that you'd want to hang out in all day. But, hey, if you're coming to DC in that neighborhood, I seriously doubt you just want to hang out at home. If you've got plans around town, then it's a great place to crash at the end of your day.

Nice confy home in the heart of the city with all facility any traveller wish to have during the stay. We had two night stay there. Nancy is lady who would make sure his guests stays as comfortable as it can. Without any doubt in our mind , we would recommend her place to any one who's planning to visit DC. A total 5star place.

I can highly recommend Nancy's home. We stayed in the basement apartment. It was very clean, comfortable, and well equipped. We were there during the height of the summer heat and the air conditioning worked well. We slept very comfortably in the queen-sized bed. The kitchen was small but had everything we needed: full-sized fridge, microwave, dish-washer, coffee maker, and all of the pots, pans, dishes, glasses you could need. The washer and dryer worked well, too. The apartment has its own entrance. So you can have all of the privacy that you may want. But I would very much recommend that you interact with your host as much as you can. Nancy is a caring and generous person who has a very interesting history in Washington DC. It was a real pleasure spending time and sharing meals with her.
