Our home offers an incredible year-round panoramic view. It is at a higher altitude than the Blue Ridge Parkway! If you like the views from the Blue Ridge Parkway pull-offs, imagine getting that view sitting in the living room or relaxing on your own private deck at an altitude of 3900 Feet! Please note: our neighbors are very sensitive to noise ... please read the House Rules before requesting to book our house!
Our house is all about providing a comfortable place to unwind and enjoy the million-dollar view, be it from the deck, living room, master bedroom, or dining room. Of course it's also a great home base for day trips throughout the Blue Ridge. The house is perched at the top of one of the highest ridges in the Little Switzerland area at the top of a 1-acre lot that has been cleared of all tall trees, ensuring year-round short-range and long-range views. The house is less than 10 years old and in great condition with every modern convenience, including fiber-based high-speed internet service, 55" 4KTV with streaming capability and Blu-Ray player in Living Room, and a 46" HDTV in master bedroom with streaming capability and Blu-Ray player.
Travelers have access to the entire house and can park in the garage and/or the parking space in front of the garage.
Interaction with guests
Your hosts will be available via email/text/phone.
Other things to note
Guests with disabilities should know that like many mountain houses, the main living area (Deck, Kitchen, Living Room, Dining Room, and Master Bedroom/Bath) is up a flight of stairs from the parking level. The remaining bedrooms/bath are up a second flight of stairs.
- While our house is located on a 1 acre lot and no neighbors are within direct view, it IS within a subdivision with no other rental homes, so we ask that our guests respect the peace and quiet that our neighborhood offers. Please no loud parties.
- We welcome small children, but we don't currently provide any special amenities such as a porta-crib or baby gates. And of course any deck can be dangerous for young kids, so children on the deck must be supervised at all times. Due to the design of our deck we don't recommend the house for toddlers.
- Smoking is strictly prohibited inside the house. Any evidence of smoking will result in a charge against your deposit.
- Unfortunately, we cannot allow the use of our wood burning fireplace to guests. We do however offer a portable outdoor fire pit.
From Sep 1 - Nov 30, 2017 the minimum stay is 3 nights.
Our family of four lives in Chapel Hill, North Carolina. My wife Lisa and I work in the Research Triangle Park. For years we have wanted a "View House" in the mountains and close to Asheville, and we finally made our dreams come true in the summer of 2016. We have decided to share our little piece of paradise with others through AirBNB!
