House Rules
No smoking
Not suitable for pets
No parties or events
Check in time is 5PM - 10PM

Shoes off on the carpeted areas, no smokers, no pets, it's a veggie house, so no meat in the kitchen fridge please. Must be fairly quiet after 11pm - although you don't have to be back by then as I'm usually up quite late. Very important no drinks or cups directly on furniture - coasters must be used. I'm not excessively fussy but if coasters aren't used it marks the furniture. Heavy oak doors so please shut gently to avoid damage. Hot tub always available on request but must be opened and closed by your host - showering beforehand essential.
Absolutely no parties or other guests without prior approval.

Room was close to town with a nice walk through the parks into the main high street. No locks on the door of the bedroom which made us feel a little insecure. Bring your own pillows as the ones in the room are low but comfortable. No tv in room but has wifi.

Good comfortable stay, lots happening in the house and yet relatively quiet, Philip is a very good host.

I had to cancel my stay at Philip's house due to a last-minute work trip. Philip was very understanding and quick to respond to my communications.

Philip's house is a child's paradise -- there is a giant, well-stocked playroom, as well as a swing set and trampoline in the backyard and one of the best playgrounds in England just down the street. The truly enormous bedroom with bonus futon is big enough for playing and hanging out in the bedroom even if you're traveling with lots of luggage like we were, and the Thomas the train decor was particularly appreciated by our son. For adults, there's a hot tub, although sadly we didn't get to try it out during our short stay, a large bed, the chic and sparkly clean en suite bathroom, free parking in the driveway or on the street, and beautiful walks in Victoria park just across the street. Don't expect a boutique hotel -- this is a lived-in house with kids -- but everyone was kind and helpful, and we'd happily stay here again.

The place is directly adjacent o the beautiful Victoria park and reasonable walking distance from the center of Bath (though it's a bit of a hike from the train station). The room was large as advertised. No complaints about anything.

I run an arts centre in Bath called Chapel Arts Centre, I also co-own the Jane Austen Centre and Moles Club. I'm very into the arts, particularly live music. I'm veggie/vegan a keen cyclist, and I fly a gyroplane - so flights over Bath and the surrounding area are possible for a contribution to the costs. I own a BMW R1200 RT touring motorcycle which I use regularly. I am fluent in French and speak a little Spanish.
