House Rules
No smoking
Not suitable for pets
No parties or events
Check in time is 5PM - 10PM

Shoes off on the carpeted areas, no smokers, no pets, it's a veggie house, so no meat in the kitchen fridge please. Must be fairly quiet after 11pm - although you don't have to be back by then as I'm usually up quite late. Very important no drinks or cups directly on furniture - coasters must be used. I'm not excessively fussy but if coasters aren't used it marks the furniture. Heavy oak doors so please shut gently to avoid damage. Hot tub always available on request but must be opened and closed by your host - showering beforehand essential.
Absolutely no parties or other guests without prior approval.

Great home, wonderful location across from the park and botanical gardens. You can walk to town through the greenery. Philip is kind and respectful. The house is creatively decorated and lively but the room itself is a refuge that looks over the lovely backyard. Bed is comfy. I highly recommend this place!

We arrived to drop off our luggage and whilst a little surprised by the somewhat messy entrance and room cluttered with Lego and toys, were happy with the location and promptly went to explore bath. Initially we didn't pay much attention to the room but noticed the lack of towels which was attended to by the lady who met us. On our return and closer inspection we were a little concerned by the only items in the fridge which were milk and a half eaten cucumber.! As for breakfast supplies there was an almost empty juice bottle (left from last guest?), tea/coffee and cereal which we felt fell very short of our expectations and left us doubting the level of servicing the room had received. Whilst we were assured they had been cleaned, and probably were, the sheets had a very visible and questionable stain. We cannot help feeling disappointed by this experience.

Philip was fantastic! The room really was enormous, and the bathroom had a great tub and shower. He had everything we needed from tea to a kettle to a microwave, and he even left us homemade bread and cereal downstairs for breakfast. When we asked for dinner recommendations, he suggested we try Victoria Kitchen and Pub, a cute little restaurant down the street (I highly recommend this place). Overall, Philip was wonderful and we had a lovely stay in Bath!

The room is really as spacious as it appears from the pictures. The house is located in a quite neighborhood (no noises at night), my room overlooked the private garden. Location extremely convenient, 15 min walk (through the park) from the centre, less than 5min walk from the bus-stop of the A4 line(Bristol Airport-Bath). There are a few pubs nearby. During my stay the house was a bit messy, though indiscussibly clean, but this should be a transient situation as there were ongoing renovation works. The matress is of good quality.

I run an arts centre in Bath called Chapel Arts Centre, I also co-own the Jane Austen Centre and Moles Club. I'm very into the arts, particularly live music. I'm veggie/vegan a keen cyclist, and I fly a gyroplane - so flights over Bath and the surrounding area are possible for a contribution to the costs. I own a BMW R1200 RT touring motorcycle which I use regularly. I am fluent in French and speak a little Spanish.
