An amazing location on Kootenay Lake. It's breathtaking! The house is exquisite, a wonderful place to vacation. Carolyn is the perfect host. If needed she's minutes away. A great place to stay for everyone. Lots to do in the area and the free ferry is something to experience. Beautiful British Columbia at its best! Many memories are made!

We had a great stay. The house is beautiful, and very clean. It's located right on the lake, with beach access on the property. It has a large, well equipped kitchen, and there was more than enough room for 6 adults and some small children. We would definitely stay here again!

The house is even more beautiful than in the pictures. We had a group of 7 adults and 2 babies and we were all very comfortable. We spent most of the week at the house cooking and hanging out. The space was well designed for a big group to spend quality time with each other. There were several lovely outdoor areas and easy access to the lake to swim and float. We were within walking distance from the ferry and the excellent Cabin restaurant. Carolyn and her husband were very responsive and helpful as they live nearby. The house is a great retreat in the Kootenays. We would definitely stay here again.

This place was amazing! The view is just amazing, and the location is perfect for quiet , and relax holidays. The Check in was smooth, with Caroline husband who showed us everything we needed to know about the house. We would have like to moored the boat right at the house but it was not available unless we paid extra. The weather was hot, and the home could be a bit warm at night, but the fans in the house works great. The kitchen is a dream kitchen. All appliances are high hands and new. The driveway is a little bit steep, but extra parking is available, if you have a car. The Beds were very comfortable and the bedding were clean and high quality. All together an amazing week. Thank you again for sharing this gem .

Carolyn was there to provide us with direction to the property and greet us upon our arrival. She took the time to show us where everything was to make our stay as comfortable as possible. The property itself was lovely, both inside and out. We enjoyed the canoeing and swimming in the lake. We were able to prepare meals and enjoy them on the outdoor patio and enjoyed many evenings by the fire pit located by the lake. She shared local areas of interest to explore. A charming town is located 10 minutes away, with a great coffee shop, market and local artisans. The ferry is only moments away which made it easy to visit the neighboring towns of Kaslo and Nelson. The nearby town of Creston had some great wineries to visit. Carolyn was an excellent host and was always a phone call away if we had any questions. We would not hesitate to stay there again, we had a wonderful time there.

Carolyn and her husband were wonderful hosts and were always available to address any concerns we had throughout the stay. Their home was beautiful and what my wife calls a "rustic gem". It is situated in a quiet bay just around the corner from the Kootenay Bay ferry terminal. The beach is rocky, however, very kid friendly. Our 1 year old loved splashing around in the lake and throwing rocks. There is no internet at the house but if you would like to get away from it all and still be close enough to day to day amenities this is the place to go.

Carolyn was excellent at communicating to us right from the start. She called us while we were driving to set up a time to meet at the property. She was there within minutes to greet us and show us around her lovely property. Carolyn is a very gracious host & ensured we had a wonderful, peaceful stay. The property itself was outstanding, right on the lake. There is a slope down from the property to the lake and also from the parking to the house. The home was clean, modern and had everything we needed to make our stay comfortable. We were a bit concerned that there was no air conditioning however, it was not needed. The home was very cool and at night from the master bedroom you can leave the patio door opened (it's screened) and listen to the sound of the waves, simply beautiful. The ferry was just down the road, so very convenient to get to Nelson & Kaslo which we did quite frequently. Crawford Bay is 10 minutes away and is a charming hamlet with a great restaurant, the Black Salt Cafe. There are also so many cute artisan shops and you can even see how they make their creations. Internet access & cable TV would have been nice. We used our cell phone hotspot for internet access. We really had a beautiful holiday and would not hesitate to book again. Thank you Carolyn!
