This was a very pleasant and chilled week away. The cottage is homely and comfortable. There was ample room for the 10 adults and 2 children and Dominique and her father, David, were extremely helpful, both in the booking and arrival stages and then assisting with the delivery and set up of our hot tub. I hired a 5-man hot tub from K&T and this proved a real hit with everyone. Nothing was too much trouble for the hosts and David was fun and more than helpful. There was no intrusion, despite the hosts living in the neighbouring property, but they were available whenever we needed them or wanted any information. My only suggestion for the cottage would be to replace the oven which was difficult to control and either didn't get warm or burned the bottom of almost every dish we cooked. The wifi is not great but worked in a fashion, and there was a poor phone signal on most networks unless you went up to the first floor level. This may actually be seen as a bonus for those seeking to get away from the daily grind and have some down time. The description of the cottage and facilities was accurate. The garden was great for our outdoor games and the horses in the adjoining fields were a nice distraction for the children. All the facilities you need, including a swimming pool, are 2 miles away in Lampeter, with a large Co-op only 1.5 miles away. The nearest pub is the Cwmann Tavern with real ales, a pool table and a well-stocked juke box. We went on a boat trip with A Bay to Remember and would highly recommend this. It was definitely the highlight of the trip and involved a speedboat and dolphin and seal sightings. It was only an hour long so the young ones didn't get bored or cold. I would definitely recommend this property and will miss the late night outdoor drinks and games in front of the chiminea. Can't wait to return!

Response from Dominique:
Hi Janet thank you so much for you feedback . Thank you for bringing the cooker to my attention and we have straight way installed a new cooker. I am afraid with the wifi (i call it country wifi) and phone reception is not the best as we live very rural and we are not connect to Fibre broadband yet but we should be over the next coming months. i am so glad you had a lovely stay and we would love to welcome you back soon xxx

This was one of the best holidays we've had in the UK. Great location, large house to accomodate 12-14 people. Clean and tidy, got a dishwasher and the tumble dryer was also very useful as we had three little kids. Lovely hosts, they live next to the house I think, but you don't see them until you need something and ask them to come. The weather was ok and we had lots of fun and enjoyed nature. The best part of the holiday was spotting two little owls waiting for their mum every night. Also there were no clouds on the first night we manged to see the milky way, you can't normally see it around London due to light polution.

We enjoyed our stay at Penty cottage. Loved the rural setting with the horses in the background. Bit wet for the time of the year but visited near by locations on the drier day. A wonderful welcome and good-bye by David and Danielle made our stay more pleasurable :)
