Shelly, we hope you do come back to play! So much to do here:
Here are some Recommendations to help you enjoy your stay with us!
Romantic Date Suggestions:
1) Take the coastal drive (Palos Verdes drive west) from Redondo to San Pedro to see the entire coastline, then stop for Terra Nea for sunset cocktails.
2) Olympus Stand Up Paddleboarding in the harbor, and then sunset drinks and munchies at the Portofino lobby bar. (not Baleen's)
Morning and Night, at high tide, visit the beach just below us (“RATS Beach” to watch the dolphins play right off shore.
All located on Catalina Avenue, Riviera Village
Chez Melange has fabulous french food, but a bit pricey
Casa Playa is a great little hole in the wall Mexican Joint. Check daily specials on weekdays.
L&L Hawaiian Grill always good, inexpensive. Check daily specials on week days.
Terranea: combine a good ($$$) meal with a beautiful walk on the ocean at the cliffs
Perry’s on the Beach (literally, ON THE BEACH, just below the Casita as a bird flies) has good healthy options but you pay for the convenience
Abalone Cove: check the times for low tide and hike down then for the tide pools
Sacred Cove: just south of Abalone cove
The trail immediately south of Trump Golf Course: a switchback down, easy hike, and more tide pools!
Top of Crenshaw Blvd.: hiking trail starts just north of the park. Spectacular views on this hike, down the side of a canyon and through a valley of wildflowers. Look for the giant bee hive at the first part of the trail, on the opposite side of the canyon, in a hole halfway up the cliff. You may need binoculars to see the activity.
